A monthly subscription box is the ideal way to ensure kids never get bored - plus they make great gifts

Who:Lovevery

What:The Play Kits

Why:

Described as a stage-based learning program designed to promote brain development through play, Lovevery’s well-curated sustainable toy kits are delivered to your home every 2-3 months giving your child an ever-updated toy box selection of toys that will keep them entertained and stimulated.

Our judges loved this concept and felt it was a great way of guiding parents to engaging toys that they might not have ordinarily considered, helping their children to thrive and learn through play.

These products are best in class and are not only innovative but also very appealing to the eye. I've used the products and can say first-hand how easy they are to use. My children love them.

Jonathan Kirkby, Founder of Instinct PR, @jonathankirkby

I am so impressed with these kits that are perfectly tailored to every stage of a child’s development. A great opportunity to discover new and exciting toys that have an eco-conscious foundation.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

This is such a great idea! The toy kits are so well put together and it’s great to know that they have all been sourced to support your child’s development at just the right time in their life.

Who:Mud & Bloom

What:Mud & Bloom children's gardening and nature crafts box

Why:

This beautifully presented and super creative gardening and nature craft subscription for children really excited our judges who loved the idea of a regular dip into the world of nature and connecting with the great outdoors. The panel felt these boxes were packed with fab activities and crafts that kids could enjoy independently or together with their families.

The commitment to using organic seeds and compost pellets and fully biodegradable packaging was applauded and our panel felt this was a great way to teach kids about engaging with and protecting the natural world.

Such a lovely subscription service that little kids will love getting involved with. Kids’ sense of wonder when they see their seedlings grow is always so gratifying.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

A lovely eco-friendly subscription service that kids can really get stuck in with. I like the fact that you can choose how frequently you receive your subscription and add a sibling if you want to receive activities for more than one child.

Who:Parrot Street Book Club

What:A monthly book subscription for 5 to 14-year-olds in three age groups

Why:

Our judges were super impressed with this subscription service that brings a well-chosen age-appropriate book right under your child’s nose every month! Great for avid readers and readers who could do with a little nudge, the books are accompanied by a beautifully designed activity pack, which, as well as jokes and puzzles, includes book club-style questions designed to encourage further thinking and conversation about the book they’ve read.

Our panel thought the activity pack was a great way to get kids thinking analytically and that this would have a positive knock-on effect at school and in other areas of their lives.

Such a lovely subscription service that puts well-tailored books directly into your kids’ hands. Perfect if you’re super busy and a trip to the bookshop or library isn’t as frequent an occurrence as you’d like.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

This is such a great idea. I would have loved this as a child. A great gift idea and it would be fun to read the book together or pass it around the family and then discuss the questions in the activity pack at the table.
