Who:Wildly Tasty
What:Plant-Based Frozen Meals for Kids (Delivery Service)
Why:
Our judges were super impressed with these hand-prepared, sustainably made, frozen meals that encourage little children to feel excited about plant-based food. The JDA panel agreed that these meals were really tasty and would help broaden kids’ eating horizons in terms of their breadth of plant-based ingredients.
The extra special attention paid to sourcing recycled, recyclable or compostable packaging really stood out. Great for busy parents looking for a vegan meal option for their kids that can be microwaved ready in minutes.
Such a great business created with busy parents in mind and real thought for the environment.
Love the vegan angle for a growing market of conscious parents who need freezer backup
I love the concept of Wildly Tasty, encouraging little ones to explore flavours which are planet-friendly is so important. I do feel that the price is a little expensive for one dish.
Who:Little Dish
What:Fresh Kids meals for children aged 1-5 years
Why:
Lots of our judges were already familiar with little dish, who have been making freshy prepared meals for kids for sixteen years. Providing pre-prepared meals for little ones that contain 100% natural ingredients, they are a life-saver for many time-poor parents who don’t want to compromise on the quality of their kids’ meals.
Our judges thought these meals tasted great and that there was an impressive range of options available. The 100% recyclable packaging was noted and 85% reduction of plastic in the new meal trays really impressed.
Taking a look at the little dish cookbook I was drawn straight to the ingredients list! I love the fact that their recipes are approachable and use ingredients we all have at home. The chilled meals look great for parents who need to magic up a nutritious meal in a hurry.
Little Dish is a great option for anyone who wants to make sure their kids have a healthy, as close to homemade meal as possible, when cooking isn’t an option.
