Exciting news! Seven extremely cool new brands are hitting John Lewis’ kidswear department both online and in selected stores. From today, you will be able to buy Caramel, Bobo Choses, The New Society, Wheat, Olivia Rubin, Armor Lux and Claude & Co online and by the end of April they’ll be on the shop floor at Oxford Street, Peter Jones, White City and Leeds stores.

This is such an exciting move for John Lewis who have identified parents’ appetite for peppering their kids’ wardrobes with more distinctive pieces from brands with a reputation for individuality and premium quality. Following a relaunch of their own-brand kids collections last year and the introduction of their first ‘tween’ collection, this new Kids Boutique range will make John Lewis even more of a must-visit destination for brilliantly curated kidswear.
“We are really excited to add these new brands to our collection, they have been hand-selected and we know that they aren’t widely available on the highstreet, by launching with us we are allowing more customers to discover them and we hope they will feel inspired by these new Boutique brands,” says Aly O’Connell, John Lewis’ Childrenswear buyer.
The seven premium brands selected have a distinctive individual design aesthetic and have been chosen for their brand provenance, trend-led designs and sustainability credentials. We’re excited to see these fabulous labels become more accessible and most of all eligible for click and collect!

Trotters, plus Peppa Pig, plus Liberty Print? As soon as we heard these three icons mentioned in the same sentence, we knew we were in for a treat. Trotters, the children’s fashion and lifestyle store loved by the Royal family have teamed up with everyone’s favourite pig to celebrate her 20th birthday in style. The two brands have come together to create a gorgeous selection of limited edition outfits for girls and baby girls that meld the classic styles that Trotters are so well known for with Peppa motifs and a dash of their own bespoke Liberty Print born out of Trotters’ longstanding relationship with the famous London department store and its iconic fabric designs.
We love the intarsia knits featuring adorable ice cream tone Peppas and the adorable smocked party dresses and romper suits which can all be topped off with a sweet bow adorned headband. Most of all we love the clever Peppa Pig Liberty print designed especially for this collection. Little Peppas can be found nestled amongst Liberty’s iconic ditsy florals creating a subtle yet charming homage to the pig that takes everyone on her relatable escapades that speak to adults and children alike.
“For 20 years, PEPPA PIG has been a lifelong friend to kids, encouraging them to confidently treat every first step as a new adventure,” said Marianne James, Vice President, EMEA and Asia, Licensed Consumer Products at Hasbro. “We’re so excited to work with Trotters London and create a bespoke Liberty Fabric for PEPPA’s latest adventure in the world of fashion with an amazing collection that embodies everything PEPPA stands for and what her fans love about her.”
The Trotters X Peppa Pig collection will be added to in April with some more lightweight summery pieces as well as full length pyjamas so watch this space for more perfect Peppa Pig clothing. Ideal for tea parties, birthdays and twirling but possibly not muddy puddles. But there again, when did we ever have any say in that?
The Trotters X Peppa Pig collaboration is available exclusively at Trotters stores & website, and with selected partners such as Liberty London, Selfridges Manchester Trafford and Harrods.

The hunt for pretty off-the-peg, reasonably priced occasionwear, flower girl and bridesmaid dresses just got a lot easier. Phase Eight who are known for their elegant outfits for women have added a range of girls’ dresses and accessories to their collection and we’re impressed.
Flower girl and party dresses that are minimal and chic in design as well as more floaty, ethereal pieces will definitely make their mark this wedding season, especially when they’re twinned with the matching pieces from the adult collection. We particularly love the matching high-neck, pleated sequin dresses that are beautifully cut and dazzling under the light. Another highlight of the collection is an ivory satin flower girl dress that has a luxurious pared back feel that wouldn’t look out of place at a Royal wedding.
Sally Piasecki, Product Director at Phase Eight told us, “We have always been advocates of ageless style, with our childrenswear range we are excited to be able to offer beautiful eventwear for all life’s most precious moments. We are particularly excited about our adorable flower girl and mini bridesmaid options as we will now proudly be able to offer head-to-toe outfit options for the whole wedding party.”
This launch is just the start of Phase Eight’s journey into childrenswear with another Spring drop in April followed by high summer and festive partywear collections later in 2024. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Phase Eight Childrenswear is available in ages 3-12 with prices starting from £35 up to £79.
]]>Yet again Bobo Choses has enchanted us with the first drop of their latest SS24 collection. This season’s clothing range is called A Folk Song and pays tribute to folkloric traditions and festivals, where children and adults gather in the streets amongst musicians, storytellers, dancers, and homemade creatures to celebrate culture and life.
This beautiful collection of vibrant, light and comfy clothes is brought to life in a wonderfully creative campaign that sums up the brand’s brilliant outside-the-box thinking. Shot against a backdrop of rustic buildings and cobbled streets, dappled sunshine highlights the mix of ginghams, graphics and airy fabrics that Bobo Choses – now a cult label amongst design conscious parents – is so well known for. A drum motif runs across several pieces, the perfect metaphor for kids who walk to the their own beat, while abstract florals, checks and painterly graphics run riot across seersuckers and cotton jersey. As well as kidswear, there is a strong baby collection featuring their signature playful prints on leggings, organic cotton t-shirts and bodysuits, all adapted to for easy dressing and undressing without compromising on style.
We’ve chosen our favourite pieces from the collection below. Snap up drum print t-shirts and lightweight jackets for layering now and those adorable gingham separates for high summer. Sunshine incoming!

]]>Buying shoes that really support your little one’s first steps and ongoing foot development is never a decision that’s taken lightly. Finding footwear that is supportive without being restrictive, protective, while allowing little toes to stay in contact with the ground while looking suitably cute and working with a myriad of outfits is a lot to tick off.
Vivobarefoot’s new first walker shoe designed in collaboration with wellness expert Jasmine Hemsley is about to make that first shoe purchase a lot easier. In line with the Vivobarefoot ethos, their dinky new Pluma shoe is designed to interfere with growing feet as little as possible, with a super-thin and flexible outsole to strengthen and protect natural movement. With heel webbing to help pull on and off little feet, the 360 knitted sock and seamless footbed are made from plant based Lyocell. Perfect to wear sock-free for extra toe space and a barefoot feel. We love the look and feel of these shoes which feel like a half bootie, half shoe and have a cool sporty vibe that is great for daywear.
The shoe took almost two years to be developed and Jasmine Hemsley is thrilled with the results. “Pluma is the brand’s first walker shoe safeguarding the foot’s natural desire to be free and wriggly and ‘in conversation’ with the ground.” She tells us, “When my daughter Mahi started toddling and needed proper shoes, I couldn’t find any foot-shaped first walker shoes on the market which were flexible enough to allow her feet to develop naturally while offering grip and protection. So Vivobarefoot and I got together to make one.”
“Being barefoot, or the next best thing – a light, flexible barefoot shoe like the Pluma – strengthens the muscles in children’s feet and ankles, improving their balance and posture.” Jasmine Hemsley
Vibrobarefoot is a B Corp status company and sustainability and ethics are part of their core values. Junior was excited to hear that once grown out of these shoes can either be handed down (the very thin sole means there won’t be any foot imprint from the previous wearer) or can be sent back to Vivo’s Revivo site – a marketplace for second-hand, repurposed Vivo shoes creating a circular system. Conscious shopping at its best.
>> The shoes are available in two colourways, Silver Pine and Woodland Grey, in toddler sizes (size 2-7 UK / 18-24 EU) with pre-school sizes in Vibrobarefoot stores and online.
