The awards winning pushchairs from the Junior Design awards are here...

Who:Bugaboo

What:Bugaboo Fox 5

Why:

Everyone wanted to have a go pushing the Bugaboo Fox 5. Described as ‘the most premium all-terrain pushchair with enhanced engineering and best-in-class design’, the Bugaboo Fox 5 more than lived up to its hype. With extra-large wheels and advanced suspension, this pushchair can tackle any terrain seamlessly and can be manoeuvred with the touch of a finger.

Our judges felt this buggy would be perfect for active parents who want to enjoy outdoors adventures with their baby whether it be on the beach, in the woods or on a bumpy city road.

Such a joy to steer with every detail thought of for a smooth, comfortable and safe journey for your little one.

I'm a long-time admirer of the Bugaboo Fox, simply because it so beautifully pairs city style with all-terrain capabilities. Some buggies can handle rough ground but look a bit rugged, while many city options can only push well on pavements. The Fox does both really well, with large wheels and great suspension, a plush-feeling carrycot and good sized basket.

This is such a well-built buggy that covers every need for every adventure. Robust yet lightweight and it feel super comfortable in its pram and buggy configurations.

Who:Bugaboo

What:Bugaboo Dragonfly

Why:

This compact buggy doesn’t compromise on comfort or functionality and everyone who tested it was extremely impressed. Designed to be used one-handed and with the minimum of stress, this buggy would be perfect for quickly nipping to the shops, stowing in the back of the car and generally making life easier on the go.

Our judges really liked the pop-out visor for added sun protection and for toddlers, the easy-buckle harness which is padded for extra comfort, was praised for being super easy to fasten and unfasten – a frustration that they had found with some other compacts.

This is such a stylish, nippy buggy that anyone who loves to travel will love. Perfect for stowing away quickly and compactly with its one-hand fold mechanism and it has excellent in-built weather protection for rainy days and hot sun.

This was larger than I expected, so definitely a great compact everyday city option rather than a lightweight travel stroller. It was quite easy to figure out how to fold and easy to do and undo. Also really like the Tulsi spacious basket and the additional storage bucket at the back. Details like the Carrystrap and the colour-coded light grey buttons to adjust things make the whole pushchair feel as smart as it looks, which is what I would expect from this brand. Looks lovely and really nice to push.

Christy McGhee, Made for Mums

Great for anyone travelling from A to B on their own as it can easily be folded down one-handed without even removing the bassinet or seat. This would also be a great option for grandparents as it is extremely lightweight and easy to operate.

Who:Inglesina

What:Aptica

Why:

This very stylish-looking pram complete with rose gold and leather finish handle impressed our judges with its good looks and lightweight feel. Easy to steer and push one-handed it felt robust and secure with plenty of details that make life easier, including that all important cup holder and an innovative all-season seat, which offers protection against the cold in the winter, while enabling air circulation in the summer.

The super compact fold and the fact that you can rest this bassinet on a Moses basket style stand so that you can still have your baby at eye height without the chassis and wheels, also scored well.

This is a beautiful looking buggy with a lovely, smooth push and nimble steer. Looks great. Really nice to push and the seat feels really plush and comfortable.

A great buggy that feels super high spec and has a touch of glamour about it.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

Love the static stand that you can place the bassinet on inside your home. No more wheels in the bedroom or living room!
