Best Baby / Baby Eco Fashion Brand | Junior Design Awards 2023

The Junior Design Award winning eco baby fashion brands are here...

Who:Magnet Mouse

What:Original Magnet Mouse Magnetic Onesie

Why:

These adorable babygrows really impressed our judges who loved the classic styling, the soft cotton jersey and the high-quality finish. However, it was the tiny sewn-in magnetic fastenings, intrinsic to Magnet Mouse’s designs that really caused a stir. Replacing fiddly poppers and buttons, these magnets create a streamlined, instantaneous seal that can be carried out one-handed or with very little effort.

The JDA panel felt these clever fastenings would be a huge bonus for parents with limited movement or for anyone who wants to make changing time speedier and easier. The brand’s strong ethical production principles were also applauded.

Such a brilliant idea that means less time changing and more time sleeping! Brilliant.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

Genius! Classic, beautiful sleepsuits (the floral ruffle collars are just the sweetest)) that essentially fasten themselves using magnets instead of buttons or poppers. Making changing time 100% easier.

Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist and content creator, @thelittlestylist

A useful product for disabled parents.

Emma Tunbridge, Children’s fashion photographer, @emmatunbridge

HOORAY!! We are free from fiddly poppers, buttons and zips. Instead, tiny magnetic fastenings are sewn inside 100% soft cotton jersey, leaving nothing but effortless style to wrap around a baby - in seconds. THANK YOU, THANK YOU MM!

Darling tails aside, this is a must-have product for parents on the go. I needed these when mine were babies.

Yvadney Davies, Children’s fashion stylist and artist @yvadney

No more misaligning those poppers in the dim light, through tired eyes. Will be buying these for friends and family.

Who:MINI-LA-MODE

What:MINI-LA-MODE Peter Rabbit and Friends Collection

Why:

The exquisite hand-smocking and delicate embroidery on these beautifully crafted baby clothes really took our breath away. The panel felt these clothes were beautifully made keepsake pieces that felt really special and the fact that they’re ethically and sustainably produced, under strict Fair Trade conditions, using the highest grade of OecoTex certified, handpicked, 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton made our judges love them even more.

I’m completely in love with this Peter Rabbit themed collection, which harks back to classic, quality baby clothes with a hand-finished luxurious feel.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

Who:Making Animals Important

What:Organic baby clothes printed with wildlife

Why:

Our judges loved this brand that fosters a love of animals from an early age through its wildlife-printed baby clothes. The panel loved the hand-drawn illustrations that they felt really brought a fascinating array of animals to life, the soft organic cotton and attention to detail re. quality finishes and grow-with-your-child design innovations.

They also loved the layers of thought that have gone into this collection with the aim of making a positive difference to endangered animals donating 5% of profits to animal conservation charities.

Beautiful organic cotton baby clothes that are super comfy and would make the perfect gift for animal lovers and anyone who wants to help protect our precious wildlife.

Bonita Tuner, Editor of Junior

I love the story behind this brand and my young judging assistant (my 2-year-old daughter) was quite taken with spotting some of her favourite animals on the pieces.
