MESOTOX - The Full Low-Down

When your skin is looking distinctly lack lustre and a sheet mask just isn’t touching the sides, a salon treatment with a little extra kick can work wonders.

We’re not talking tweakments or injectables here but a subtle perking up of the skin (that’s a technical term) with a bespoke blend of vitamins, and a tiny amount of botox that is delivered into the surface of the skin without penetrating the muscle.

When I visited Vaishaly – the top beauty clinic in Marylebone for this treatment I was a little apprehensive but superfacialist, Vaishaly herself quickly soothed my worries, explaining that the blend of vitamins and botox would not affect expression and would only be gently tapping and pricking the surface of my skin.

How it Felt:

Tapping the surface is a good way to describe this treatment, which is administered with a clear vial of liquid with multiple fine needles at the base that gently prick the skin, focusing on problem areas like fine lines and wrinkles. Not a syringe in sight! The treatment felt mildly irritating but I settled into the feeling very quickly and hardly noticed the sensation by the end of the session.

How it Works:

The treatment works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, which are responsible for maintaining firmness and elasticity. This helps to achieve a more youthful appearance without compromising natural facial expressions.

Key Benefits:

Firmer, youthful, and glowing skin immediately after treatment. Decreases pore size. Tones and tightens sagging skin. Dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Rids areas of orange peel like skin. Smoother and more even-toned appearance. Repairs free radical damage.

Straight After:

There was no pain and when I looked in the mirror I looked slightly flushed but this faded quickly leaving me with dewy, plump looking skin that looked smooth and hydrated.

Weeks Later:

I really noticed a big difference in the fine lines around my eyes and could feel that my skin was generally tighter. Even though I had full mobility in my facial muscles I am sure I could feel a little bit of tension in my cheeks when I smiled for up to a month after the treatment.

Verdict:

This is an investment treatment that comes at a fairly high price (from £345) so I would recommend it for a pre-party or event boost or back to work pick-me-up. Two sessions are ideal for best results but I only had one and could already see the benefits. I would definitely like to have this treatment again.

Mesotox costs from £345 (from £395 with Vaishaly) at Vaishaly 51 Paddington St, London, W1U 4HRÂ
