Who:Plum Play

What:Plum Wave Springsafe Trampoline and Enclosure with Mist

Why:

This fabulous looking trampoline was a centrepiece of this year’s JDA’s, garnering plenty of interest and requests for a quick bounce! Our judges felt that this model, which is available in a whole range of sizes, took the outdoor trampolining experience to another level with the addition of an exciting gentle water play system which mists kids as they bounce on hot sunny days!

The panel could well imagine parents having a little chill out on this trampoline at the end of a hot day too.

Such a clever idea! Children will absolutely love the magical misting that this trampoline delivers just when you need it most. Perfect for hot summers and sweaty kids.

I’ve just got back from Italy where all the outdoor cafés sporadically mist their customers to keep them cool and fresh! Add in a trampoline and this will be heaven for hot kids in the Summer.

Who:Tinyly Collection by DJECO

What:Collectable toy figurines emanating from the poetic imagination of French designer Virginie Brachet.

Why:

We always ask our judges, which items from the JDAs would be on their own ultimate wish list and these mini figurines were one of the most mentioned toys. These beautifully decorated and crafted miniature characters really excited our judges, who knew their own children would love collecting, arranging and playing with them for hours on end.

These little dolls and their adorable pets have a charming otherworldly feel to them and feel like the springboard to many flights of imagination.

Just gorgeous. These little characters feel really fresh and original and I can see children becoming very invested in this wonderful and varied collection. I recently gifted a set to my niece and she adores them!

Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

I absolutely love this miniature world of adorable characters and their pets, accessories and friends. A lovely way for children to create little vignettes and roleplays.

A great alternative to the ever-popular LOL dolls and seem a little more sustainable and less plastic - the colours are great and the designs are culturally inspiring, sparking conversations around diversity.

Who:HUE HD Pro

What:A multi-purpose USB camera for creative teaching, learning, work and play.

Why:

With its bendy neck and brightly coloured head, this fabulous looking USB camera could easily be the star of its own animation show! The JDA panel felt that this was an easy to assemble simple to use camera that would help budding photographers and film makers really hone their craft and create some really exciting projects.

The easy-to-use HUE intuition software programme that accompanies the camera looked exciting, clear and easy for kids to operate.

A really cool looking piece of kit that takes camerawork and editing to a whole new level for kids.

Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

I can see this camera being so much fun to use at home or to support studies at school. A great step up from a mobile phone camera for any budding film makers.

Who:Happy Little Doers

What:Oceans Logic Game

Why:

For kids who love card games and using their observation skills against the clock, this Oceans Logic Game will make the perfect gift. Our panel thought these beautifully illustrated ocean themed cards would really appeal to all children and liked the fact that this card game gets the whole family involved being suitable from age 5 – 99!

A great compact game option for keeping kids entertained and engaged on journeys, stop overs, holidays and any time between.

A brilliant card game to get kids thinking, families bonding and screen time dwindling.

Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

There’s something really satisfying about this game that requires you to match up the images to create a whole square – easier said than done!
