All the winners from the best International Fashion brand shortlist in the Junior Design Awards 2022 are finally revealed

Who:Fresh Dinosaurs

What:A contemporary Children’s clothing brand based in Mallorca

Why:

This brand was a huge hit with so many of our judges who loved the laid back ease of the pieces, which manage to tread that fine, magical line of feeling seriously cool but extremely wearable too.

The unisex, quirky designs and slightly retro prints and graphics really appealed to the panel who all felt that these clothes were exactly what kids would want to wear for down time, cosy weekends and hanging out with friends.

Absolutely ADORE this brand! The design is so, so ideal, the material and the colours. Really comfortable and look like they’d last really well.

Loved seeing this collection at the awards. The fabrics, colours and washes are just effortlessly cool. A collection I'd love to shoot and my children to wear.

Really fun and cool design. Colours are strong. Feels very fashion but with soft fleece sweatshirts that kids will love.

Fresh is the word! This is one of my favourite new brands that I will personally be shopping from. Love the soft, washed feel of the fabric, the cool graphics/prints and the wonderful colour combos.

Who:Ligne Noir

What:A Contemporary children’s knitwear brand based in Italy

Why:

The joyful, clashing colours, the natty prints, the wonderful quality and the exciting details really made this brand stand out and our judges were completely smitten with these clothes – some even wishing they came in adult size.

Our judges agreed that this was a stand-out brand for anyone who wants their kids to stand out from the crowd in clothes that have personality and a real point of difference. Fabulous.

The most exciting contemporary knitwear brand I’ve seen for a long time.

All the rules get broken here and it’s good to see a brand taking risks.

Such a cool, unique, refreshing collection. Love the brand imagery.

Charlotte Kewley, children’s stylist, @thelittlestyist

This is knitwear that really sings and you could wear these pieces top-to-toe for impact or just invest in one piece to lift a whole wardrobe. The most exciting way to stay warm this winter.

Why:

Napaani was one of the brands that constantly came up as a highlight of the awards. All our judges were drawn these deceptively simple organic cotton muslin separates in soothing natural shades with beautiful yet subtle detailing and coordinating accessories.

The super soft Mariola dress was a stand-out piece with beautiful cut, colour and relaxed yet classic feel. Perfect for carefree hours playing in the sunshine or dressed up for a smarter day out.

Who:Twin & Chic

What:A premium organic, skin friendly fashion brand for children, made in Spain.

Why:

This brand really is a fantastic resource for any parents who wants to shop ethically with absolute surety that the clothes they are buying will be soft and comfortable on the skin as well as beautiful to look at.

Our judges were intrigued by the in-depth research that has gone into this collection to make it suitable for children with sensitive skin and irritable skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis. A wonderful clothing brand that takes its commitment to honouring the planet and their littlest customers seriously.

This is one of the most sophisticated eco friendly clothing collections out there. Beautiful clothing that children look adorable in. I’m love with the soft green linen dress, super pretty : )

Abi Campbell, children’s fashion photographer, @abicampbellphotography

A fabulous brand that is now my go-to for simple yet beautiful occasion wear. Everything has a refined, hand-made feel that I love.
