Who:Olivio & Co
What:Kids Anti Blue-Light Screen glasses
Why:
In a world where screens are now part of daily life and even learning, children’s eye health is under more pressure. Our judges thought these anti blue-light screen glasses that provide comfort & protection from eye-straining blue-light emitted from smartphones, tablets, computers and TVs were a genius and much needed product.
As well as serving a serious purpose, these specs look and feel great to wear and the panel felt that the comfy silicone arms and cute looking frames would be very popular with young children.
Such a fantastic product born out of a real need to protect children’s eyes from potentially damaging blue light.
These frames are adorable! The choice of colour, shape and finish is spot on. I love how lightweight, bendable and pliable the arms are. And I think the idea of parents and children having matching frames is cute!. The paper pulp protective packaging, vegan suede carry case and recycled cleaning cloth have all been thoughtfully conceived, too.
Super cute specs that address a modern issue head on.
Who:Brush-Baby
What:Gum & Dental-Care products for kids including WildOnes re-chargeable toothbrushes
Why:
This 24-strong product range for 0-10 year olds really impressed our judges who felt the products provided fine-tuned and super effective dental-care.
The stars of the line-up had to be the adorable WildOnes re-chargeable toothbrushes that feature small toothbrush heads, rounded soft bi-level bristles, sucker bottoms, integrated timers and flashing lights! Not to mention their cute animal faces!
Such a comprehensive range of junior dental-care. Lots of every day hero products and you could definitely give a WildOne electric toothbrush as a gift!
My seven year old son has been trialling an Elephant shaped WildOne and it is brilliant. The spare heads and charging cable are kept in its cardboard presentation box and it feels like a very high quality product that will last a long time.
I love the WildOnes toothbrushes with the animals standing to attention. The characters, which are really tactile and not as bulky as they appear, come into their own when trying to establish a routine and get children excited about brushing their teeth.
Who:Lizzie Loves
What:Nature’s Botanicals drinks
Why:
Our panel loved this collection of botanical based, drink sachets, designed to soothe and alleviate the most frequent health blips in young families. The ‘Be Sleepy’, ‘Be Settled’ & ‘Be Well’ formulas have all been blended by nutritional health coach Lizzie King to help children get a good night sleep, settle funny tummies and support immune systems and can be added to any drink or just a glass of water.
The sugar-free natural ingredients impressed and judges who also felt the branding would appeal to both children and adults and that the compostable sachets would be a big bonus for eco-conscious families.
Natural remedies that fall in with the rhythm of your household, from a Be Well juice in the morning or a creamy Be Sleepy-ccino before bed.
Perfect for those daily gripes that don’t need the medicine cabinet but do need something effective and nurturing to help settle and replenish.
I can see how much thought and care has gone into creating these eco-friendly sachets, which harness the power of natural ingredients and are a great alternative to throwing sugar laden gummies at your kids when they need some TLC.
Who:CURAPROX
What:Kid’s toothbrushes and toothpastes
Why:
A toothbrush your child can hold and use with ease isn’t something that can be taken for granted and our judges agreed that the ergonomically designed CURAPROX CS Kids toothbrush would be a great introduction to easy- peasy, happy brushing.
CURAPROX’s fantastic range of flavoured toothpastes also got the panel’s vote and everyone knew a little one who would love a dash of Strawberry or Watermelon just before bed and first thing in the morning!
Perfectly designed and conceived for young children moving into a more independent phase of brushing. Great brushes and yummy effective toothpastes! I am a massive fan of the adult brushes so I know they work.
No frills but ergonomic and they come in a range of punchy colours. The bristles are quick drying to prevent bacteria building up - the CS Kids one even comes with a protective cap.
You had me at watermelon! Such a great range of oral health products that will excite young brushers and help them with control and dexterity.
