Best Eco Baby Fashion Brand | Junior Design Awards 2022

Revealed! All the winners of Best Eco Baby Fashion Brand for the 2022 Junior Design Awards...

Who:Twin & Chic

What:A premium, organic, skin-friendly fashion brand for children, made in Spain.

Why:

This beautiful collection was a huge hit with the JDA panel who loved the brand’s mix of light and airy fabrics, beautiful prints and traditional silhouettes, all created within the warm embrace of eco-conscious and sustainable production.

Twin & Chic’s rigorous eco standards really impressed the judges who were also excited to learn about the brand’s research into fabrics and packaging that are completely skin friendly, helping to ease and combat children’s skin issues such as atopic dermatitis, urticaria, contact dermatitis or dermographism, which are problems affecting more and more kids today.

Even though lots of these pieces could be worn for a smart event, there is something so relaxed and playful about this collection that allows children to be children in the height of comfort.

Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior

I am so impressed by this brand’s commitment to creating truly special, high quality clothing with such exacting eco production values, while keeping children’s delicate or even problematic skin front and centre.

Eleonore Crompton, Deputy Editor of JUNIOR

Really gorgeous fabrics.

Abi Campbell, children’s fashion photographer, @abicampbellphotography

What a lovely brand. It's lovely to see a classic, timeless brand fully committing to working in an ethical, responsible way.

Who:MORI

What:A digitally native, direct-to-consumer baby and toddler clothing brand

Why:

This extensive babywear range wowed our judges with its softer than soft fabric that forms the basis of the brand’s entire collection.

Our judges were excited to learn that Mori clothing is all made from a blend of 30% organic cotton and 70% sustainably grown bamboo that is not only more eco-friendly to produce but is long lasting and has excellent moisture wicking and thermoregulating properties. With eco values extending from fabric to production this brand scored highly with the JDA panel.

Oh my goodness! The quality and softness of these clothes is just divine. Chic and elegant and the colour ways are beautiful

Abi Campbell, children’s fashion photographer, @abicampbellphotography

We're big Mori fans. I can personally say they last! Some of our sleepsuits have been through all three of my children - they've stayed soft after, I don't know, 100+ washes!

Charlotte Kewley, children’s stylist, @thelittlestylist

Stunning designs and beautifully made. The bundle and save concept is fabulous. Also love the gift box options.

Who:Minimalisma

What:A luxury everyday brand that specialises in essentials for babies, kids, and women, rooted in Nordic heritage.

Why:

The JDA judges were so impressed by this wonderfully ethical, gentle fashion brand that makes beautiful, simple separates from only natural fibres including cashmere, silk, baby alpaca, merino wool and GOTS certified organic cotton.

The luxurious feel of these pieces and the secure knowledge that everything is made with as little impact on the environment as possible, makes this a fantastic place to shop for baby clothes that honour and protect our planet while creating super soft, beautiful clothes that can be handed down through generations.

A wonderful example of a slow fashion brand that takes its responsibility to the planet as seriously as its beautiful design and fabrics.

Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

I really love this brand. Sometimes ‘eco’ means the softness of fabric suffers but not here. Gorgeous colours. Love it all.

Abi Campbell, children’s fashion photographer and brand consultant, @abicampbellphotography

The softest pieces. Exactly what you want to dress your precious new baby in.

Charlotte Kewley, children’s stylist, @thelittlestylist

Perfect collection.
