Best Children’s Fashion Accessories Brand | Junior Design Awards 2022

These are the award winning accessories brands as voted for at the JDA 2022

Who:PACHEE

What:PACHEE Woven Iron-On Reward Patches

Why:

This new brand to the JDA’s caused a huge stir on our judging days and the panel really connected with both the aesthetic and the message behind these beautifully crafted patches. Designed to support children’s wellbeing by instilling a sense of pride in their achievements and differences, these patches demonstrate how positive affirmation paired with great design can really brighten up a child’s world in every sense.

With patches that include topics of diversity, inclusion and resilience, there is a message for everyone and the panel also loved the fact that patching clothes with these badges gives children a real handle on sustainability. A unanimous gold.

Love everything about this brand/ product. Really innovative. You need to get these into schools for their awards ceremonies. The clips are super cool too. Love the colour ways and packaging and quality. Top marks.

Love everything from ethos to product. Inclusivity message is great and I love the idea that kids are taught to patch up their clothes. Love the collectable element - can build up patches over the years. Great gifts too. Like they can be ironed or stitched on. Fun, thoughtful and inspiring.

I really love this brand. Great for updating and adding to clothes that can be handed down to siblings giving them a personal touch to the child. Well done.

Who:STYCH

What:STYCH Accessories collection - curated gift boxes of accessories for children

Why:

“Fun”, “exciting”, “great quality” and “a rushed parent’s godsend” were just some of the comments we heard while our judges perused Stych’s stacked boxes of curated accessories and goodies. While the name of this brand, an acronym of Smile Til Your Cheeks Hurt always works its magic on us, the contents of their stylish drawer style boxes definitely lives up to expectation.

The judges loved the co-ordinated assortment of goodies that are bound to make little faces light up and were excited by the addition dress-up tails, very stylish pointelle pyjamas and the option of choosing building your own box of treats.

The best gift option when you need a stylish present idea in a hurry or you want to surprise a little one with something special in the post.

Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

Love the colour pallet and build a box idea. The designs are amazing, it's all cute but with a funky feel so it's not too princessy and can be gender neutral.

Who:Hooked by a Fin

What:Handmade knitted animal bonnets for babies and children

Why:

The irresistible draw of this brand was plain to see on our judging days, with hats flying onto heads for reels and selfies galore! The super tactile, high quality crochet work and the clever rendering of the cutest animals had everyone cooing and the panel felt that these bonnets would make a great gift for babies, toddlers and beyond. Perfect for standing out in a crowd and staying cosy warm.

Omg. How cute are these? Brilliant. Like it’s been knitted by granny... a really cool granny. Who wouldn’t put these away in a box and hand them down through the generations? You can feel the love.

Who:The Little Sock Company

What:The Little Sock Company Non-slip Stay-on Socks

Why:

“Where on earth do all the socks go?”, is a question that the Little Sock Company has made redundant. Their specially designed socks feature a special weave that hugs the foot and refuses to fall off meaning that one socked babies can be a thing of the past!

Add to this the non-slip design on the bottom of these socks and our panel agreed you pretty much have the perfect baby and toddler sock! The judges felt the designs were clean and stylish, and that the presentation box made this a great gifting idea from parents in the know to novice sock wearers.
