A design classic that has revolutionised the way children take a seat at the table from newborn up. I love the fact that in 50 years, its fundamental design has never changed.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS WINNERS FOR BEST FEEDING PRODUCT DESIGN (BABY): GOLD

WHO: DockATot

WHAT: La Maman Wedge

WHY: Bringing luxury and beautiful design to a practical item is what DockATot do best and our judges felt that this breast feeding cushion was a fantastic example of this. The basic and oh-so-helpful feeding cushion has been given a wonderful makeover with velvet textures, stunning prints and a soft tassel finish. The panel agreed that this cushion would look wonderfully stylish on a bed or chair in its own right while serving its purpose as a supportive cushion during nursing sessions or propping up mother and baby when needed.

Adding a luxury touch to something that can often look very boring and perfunctory.

WHO: BIBS

WHAT: BIBS Baby Glass Bottle

WHY: As more and more parents turn to trusted glass bottles for feeding their babies, it was great to see this market leader creating feeding sets that cater to all the needs of bottle feeding. Our judges were impressed by the resilience of the first-class borosilicate glass that withstands freezing, boiling water, microwave heating and dishwasher cleaning and the fact that glass is non scratch, non-toxic and easy to clean was not lost on them. The use of muted on trend colours for the caps and accessories gave these kits a very sweet contemporary feel and the judges felt this was a great example of form meeting function.

So much thought and research has gone into these bottles from the anti-colic function to the latex teats. The funnel for mixing formula is brilliant.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS WINNERS FOR BEST FEEDING PRODUCT DESIGN (BABY): BRONZE

WHO: Nanobébé

WHAT: Nanobébé Breastmilk Storage Bags & Organiser

WHY: Our judges agreed that these innovative breastmilk storage bags would incredibly helpful to breastfeeding mothers, helping to store precious breastmilk without spillage and spoilage. The quick freeze and thaw quality of these bags that helps protect the quality of the milk was something that our breastfeeding judges were particularly struck by and the easy to stack organiser which means no floppy bags of random, undated milk falling over or taking up space in the fridge or freezer was also much admired.

When the early days and months can feel a little chaotic, this is a great way to bring some order and calm to breast feeding and breast-pumping. Great idea.
Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR
I can’t count the amount of times I cried over spilt milk when I was pumping. This kit would have been a godsend for me.
