Best Changing Bag Design | Junior Design Awards 2024

These award winning baby changing bags are most definitely some you will want to carry on using long after maternity leave...

Winner:PLATINUM Best Changing Bag Design

Who:TIBA + MARL

What:TIBA + MARL Tote + Caddy.

Why:

This cool looking tote with removable caddy really excited our judges who could see the numerous benefits of this modular design. The ability to simply lift the structured caddy complete with bottle insulator, out of its tote, showed a great understanding of parents’ needs, making it a product that can segue from a changing bag that can be attached to or stowed beneath your buggy, to a storage caddy that can be moved from room to room keeping all those necessities organised and close to hand. The panel was excited to hear that the Tote + Caddy is made from 100% certified recycled materials making it both a sustainable and stylish option.

I would be a loss without my Tiba & Marl changing bags. The best. This might be my favourite new addition to the brand yet! Understated in the most stylish of ways. Perfectly considered.

Functional, practical, sustainably made and extremely stylish, this is the bag that every mum-to-be hopes for at her baby shower.

The key to a perfectly organised changing bag is here! Love the fact that the caddy insert can be removed to sit on top of your changing station without the bag that has been out and about, keeping everything super hygienic.

Winner:GOLD Best Changing Bag Design

Who:Alf The Label

What:Ari Convertible Baby Bag

Why:

The JDA panel was extremely impressed with this sleek changing bag and felt it was the perfect option for parents who want a chic bag that doesn’t compromise on practicality. Our judges loved the option of pebbled leather or high-quality vegan leather and felt the design, including a waterproof lining, plenty of pockets and multiple wearing options from backpack to shoulder bag to buggy attachment, had really considered the need for versatility and storage. Spacious enough to pack everything you could possibly need for a day out, our judges also noted that this bag was the perfect size for a laptop and could easily be used as a stylish work tote when it was no longer needed as a maternity bag.

This is such a luxurious bag that would sit perfectly within a chic wardrobe, while offering all the space and organisation any baby could need.

Wipeable with great external pockets that make grabbing what you need with one hand a doddle. A clever and visually pleasing design that cool parents will love.

Eleonore Crompton, Deputy Editor, Junior, @juniormagazineonline

I love the oversized organiser alternative to a bag. Who needs both? But seriously, the utility style and padded fabric look great. Love both colourways. Another cool parenting brand I’m a fan of.

Winner:BRONZE Best Changing Bag Design

Who:Storksak

What:Thea Tote & Compact Change Bag

Why:

Storksak’s new knitted design made from super strong fibres really stood out to our judges who loved seeing such innovation in the changing bag market. This hardwearing weave was developed for its indestructible qualities and can be folded, packed and scrunched, always returning to its original form, making it perfect for the rough and tumble of family life. The panel thought the compact change bag that can be used with or without the chic woven tote gave parents flexibility with the option to change things up to suit the occasion and the outing.

Something new and exciting is always welcome in the world of changing bags!
