JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS WINNERS OF BEST ECO CHILDREN'S TABLEWARE DESIGN: GOLD

WHO: Eco Rascals

WHAT: Bamboo Suction Plates

WHY: The perfect plates for eco conscious parents who don’t want dinner thrown against the wall. Or at least, not a whole plateful! These adorable bamboo plates went down a treat with our judges who loved the cute but sturdy bamboo design in various friendly animal shapes, paired with an ultra-strong silicone suction base. The judges were excited to hear that these plates are made from 100% bamboo which is durable, anti-bacterial, sustainably grown and biodegradable. The panel also noted that the deep sides and compartments with the plates would make it easy for kids to push their cutlery against, making meal times that little bit easier.

Good quality, long lasting tableware that can be handed down when you can bear to part with it.

Such pleasing shapes that so many kids will love. I know some dinosaur obsessives who would love the Triceratops!

WHO: Pippeta

WHAT: Silicone Suction Bowl

WHY: This silicone bowl, designed by parents in the know, really appealed to our panel who loved the sleek, aesthetically pleasing design paired with the peace of mind that it is a long lasting, plastic free product that won’t release micro particles into the sea. Pipetta’s founders told us that “after using many bowls we wanted one that didn't peel, crack, stain, and was easy to clean as well as looking the part.” Our judges felt that they had fulfilled their goals and created something children and parents alike would enjoy.

Subtle, cool and super functional. A great interpretation of the suction plate for parents who want minimal design and minimal fuss.

WHY: These gorgeous three-piece sets are made from 100% plant-based materials making them incredibly eco-friendly. Our panel thought the robust design, gorgeous colours and satisfying stackability of this dinnerware would make them firm favourites in the family home and they agreed the gift box presentation made them feel like the perfect gift for a new baby or toddler.
