This season, designer Tia Cibani has given her eponymous kids' line a serious colour injection, clashing bold stripes and checks in acid shades with traffic stopping effect. Entitled KIDS AT PLAY, the Spring/Summer 2023 collection is inspired by the playful spirit of children, which can be found in the POP of colours spliced throughout the collection in crisp striped shirting and ruched, cinched and smocked fabrics, giving timeless summertime pieces a fresh new spin.

According to Tia, a family road trip from Los Angeles to Arizona served as the inspiration for this collection and the contrast between the dusty terrain and the sleek highways, modern lights, and eye-catching road signs along the way gave Tia the idea for the bold colour contrasts and graphic lines.

A combination of magical landscape and urban nuances, collide with one another, resulting in a collection that's made for play.

Junior's favourite pieces from the collection have to to be the striking yellow and black diagonal striped dresses and separates and the generous yellow culottes with contrast ties, which are perfect for striding into summer but we have to say we love every single piece, including the panelled swimwear with contrast zips. For those who prefer something a little less arresting, there are plenty of items that provide design interest and beautiful craftsmanship in more subtle hues. Sunshine seersuckers and gingham checks will bring a sprinkling of magic but we'll take the full abracadabra please!
