Who:Fille Garçon

What:A gender-neutral kids' leather brand born in London and inspired by Americana. Each piece is ethically made and built to last, using premium materials that are durable, easy to care for, and perfect for passing down.

Why:

The response to this brand was hugely positive. Everyone on our panel from stylists to influencers to our brand partner, Monsoon’s head of design, fell in love with this collection.

I completely loved this collection - full of energy, imagination and craft. I haven’t seen this in the market before. A great investment for parents that will be there for years to come

Who:Beemondo

What:The BeeComfortKnit collection. A 100% cotton knitwear collection inspired by nature - specifically bees - featuring hexagons and geometric patterns that echo honeycomb structures.

Why:

This brand that combines style, sustainability, and purpose really got our judges talking. They loved the simple designs, the commitment to using only one fabric for easy recycling and low waste production with an emphasis on celebrating nature.

Love the patternation here. A great heirloom product with a smarter end use. I love the brand consistency and I’m excited to see where it goes.

What:A new UK-based children’s brand redefining comfort through creative, sensory-friendly design. The debut collection features super-soft, tag-free clothes made with TENCEL™ Modal, for children aged 3 to 13, particularly those who have sensory sensitivities, skin conditions or fine motor challenges.

Why:

Our judges were excited by this thoughtful brand, designed with all children in mind but particularly those with sensory processing issues. Easy to wear, super-soft, tag-free and made from planet friendly fabrics featuring fresh prints, these clothes ticked so many boxes for our panel.

What:The Folded Matter Collection that takes its inspiration from Deleuze’s philosophy of the fold — where ideas, bodies, and forms are always shifting. These wearable clothes are a joyful meeting point between playful movement and structural design.

Why:

The JDA judges agreed that these eye-catching designs were beautifully designed with real life in mind. Perfect for playing in or dressing up for dinner, the collection was applauded for being fresh, original, stylish and comfortable. The sustainable aspect of this brand’s small batch, UK production and 100% cotton fabric choice also impressed.

What:The Oversize Bodysuit. Unisex all-in-ones that have a classic, timeless feel with an oversize fit. Crafted from cotton or organic cotton with care and longevity in mind.

Why:

This spin on the classic bodysuit really stood out to our judges and the Junior Editorial team. Classic stripes combined with a super comfy, oversize fit gave this traditional baby and toddler essential a clever makeover. Simple but stylish and incredibly well made, we can see so many parents loving the ease and style of these suits. The oversize fit instantly made these bodysuits feel fresh and cool and the panel could see that kids would love wearing them.

A fresh modern take on the bodysuit. The coolest babies in town will be wearing these.

What:The 308 by Clark & Gray

Why:

The two versions of this coat on display at the JDA judging days didn’t stay on their hangers for long! Our judges were excited to try it on for themselves and all admired the clever inbuilt feature zips in the body of the coat that can be unzipped for more room when you need it. The deep pockets, removable hood option and easy one-hand popper fastenings were also much applauded – showing a deep understanding of the practical needs of a busy parent . Our Editor, Bonita Turner selected this entry as one of her favourite pieces from the Junior Design Awards, remarking on its innovation, attention to detail and longevity. A coat that will keep the wearer feeling confident and stylish throughout all the milestones of her life.
