Get involvedThe school’s PTA is your best chance to ask teachers if recycling is encouraged in your child’s classroom.
Organise an eco fair It’s a great way to get children thinking about green issues and can include demonstrations of recycling techniques. Get local businesses involved, too.
Talk to the school governorsFind out how they’re working to make classrooms more energy efficient. Is the school committed to green construction?
Walk to school The average distance a child must travel to primary school in the UK is less than 1.5 miles, so set aside a little more time in the morning and walk.
Lead by example Make sure you practise what you preach and also that your child’s eco education continues beyond the classroom.
