Arthur Christmas
Meet Santa's youngest son in this Christmas heart-warmer
Two billion presents delivered to children in every country in the world – all on one night. That’s a mighty ask, and, as you can imagine, a logistical nightmare. Thank goodness, then, that Father Christmas has his whizzy son, Steve (with a neatly clipped topiary-style Christmas tree beard and camouflage combat gear), at the helm as his Operations Manager, overseeing a vast team of eager elves at Santa HQ. And forget the romance of jingling sleighbells, the 21st-century mode of transport is more akin to the Starship Enterprise. So where does Arthur fit in? He’s Santa’s enthusiastic but dim-witted youngest son, who is devastated when he finds out that one little girl has been overlooked and will awake on Christmas morn with no gift from Santa. While his father and brother shrug it off, Arthur, his doddery grandfather and a dusted-down sleigh come to the rescue in a hilarious and fast-paced race to put things right. With an all-star British voice cast including James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie and Jim Broadbent, this 3D Aardman production is a sweet, heartwarming tale full of festive fun.
