What will we find when we land? Where will we get oxygen and food? Our judges thought this was an exciting and original book with compelling illustrations that would really engage young space fans.

A really fascinating book that uses science, technology and imagination to give kids a window into the future of space travel.

Why:

Our judges loved this book and agreed it would be dipped into time and time again by curious kids and their adults. The design was highly praised, from the bold cover to the strong clear graphics and clever use of font and colour, which make this fascinating topic easy to read and digest. A unique exploration of the ways humans share and store information, and how this has shaped and changed the world, this book by author Chris Haughton will help children understand the importance of communication and how that has evolved through the centuries with lots of fun along the way.

Incredible design and exciting facts that aren't dumbed down for kids. A brilliant read.

Is the enticing tagline on this book that encourages kids to learn about animal evolution by putting themselves in the shoes, or rather the paws and fins of fascinating creatures from sharks to chimpanzees.  Our judges loved the exuberant, engaging design of this book, which features exciting full colour illustrated pages, fun graphics and brilliant illustrations that bring both  the survivors and the extinct to life.

Such a fun and engaging book that will get kids really thinking. The design is excellent. Love the sense of energy and excitement throughout.
