Junior is passionate about supporting new brands in the kids’ industry. We know how much imagination, dedication and perspiration it takes to launch a new brand and how much constructive feedback and recognition from a highly experienced mentor can help.

This year we were delighted to see an unprecedented number of new brands entering the Junior Design Awards in our Best Fashion Newcomer category, which was sponsored by much-loved British kids’ brand Monsoon Children and co-judged by their visionary Creative Director, Caroline Jackson who had lots to say about our shortlisted brands.

The Junior team was thrilled to meet Caroline Jackson on our JDA Judging days.  Caroline is responsible for the hugely successful refresh of Monsoon Children and gave all ten of our shortlisted Fashion Newcomers some great observations and advice.

Fille Garçon

A gender-neutral kids’ leather brand born in London and inspired by Americana. Each piece is ethically made and built to last, using premium materials that are durable, easy to care for, and perfect for passing down.

I completely loved this collection - full of energy imagination and craft. I haven’t seen this in the market before. A great investment for parents that will be there for years to come I can’t wait to see this brand grow. Completely blew me away , with design and innovation!

Beemondo

The BeeComfortKnit collection. A 100% cotton knitwear collection inspired by nature – specifically bees – featuring hexagons and geometric patterns that echo honeycomb structures. This brand that combines style, sustainability, and purpose really got our judges talking. They loved the simple designs, the commitment to using only one fabric for easy recycling and low waste production with an emphasis on celebrating nature.

 

Love the patternation here. A great heirloom product with a smarter end use. I love the brand consistency and I’m excited to see where it goes.

Morning Marvels

A new UK-based children’s brand redefining comfort through creative, sensory-friendly design. The debut collection features super-soft, tag-free clothes made with TENCEL™ Modal, for children aged 3 to 13, particularly those who have sensory sensitivities, skin conditions or fine motor challenges.

Beautiful branding with a gorgeous story behind it. Fabrics feel lush, malleable and soft…

Tropel Kids

The Folded Matter Collection that takes its inspiration from Deleuze’s philosophy of the fold — where ideas, bodies, and forms are always shifting. These wearable clothes are a joyful meeting point between playful movement and structural design.

Little Novice

Super cool, unisex all-in-ones that have a classic, timeless feel with an oversize fit. Crafted from cotton or organic cotton with care and longevity in mind.

Mumzers

Mumzers is a kidswear brand that captures the essence of childhood—celebrating the giddiness, imagination, and unpredictability of kids.  Mumzers’ co-ord sets blend casual comfort with luxury and style. Each piece features bold patterns, joyful colors, and relaxed fits, encouraging movement and play.

Clark & Gray

The Clark&Gray 308 Coat is a made-to-order, transseasonal coat designed to support women through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Crafted in the UK in small batches, it combines timeless design with practical features including a clean-lined stand collar, hidden placket fastening, a detatchable hood and generous pockets. Our judges couldn’t stop trying them on and found them super comfortable and stylish.

An amazing idea for longevity in product and design. Demonstrates great versatility and quality. Well made with a good mix of function and form...

Cotton Baby London

Inspired by the beauty of beginnings, Cotton Baby’s purpose is to create luxury babywear for those precious first moments of life.
Brought to you by the team behind British childrenswear brand Rachel Riley, Cotton Baby was founded in 2024 by Rose Jouanneau, former Harrods childrenswear buyer and daughter of Rachel Riley.
The contemporary collection comprises high-quality essentials from newborn to toddler, including dresses, rompers, knitted sets and onesies, all made from 100% cotton.

WHATEVER

Whatever makes just one thing: the perfect kids’ sweats.
These are kids’ clothes that kids will really want to wear and we can confirm that their trademarked MarshmallowTechâ„¢ fabric really does feel like a lovely super snuggly  hug!

Palettes Journey

This collection of colour coordinated, whimsical, hair accessories and sunglasses was pronounced ADORABLE by so many of our JDA judges. The clean, graphic packaging, juxtaposed with delicate Liberty prints and pastel daisy motifs felt fresh and stylish and the panel could see these accessories making great gifts. The perfect finishing touch for both party dresses and casual looks.

A well considered collection with a sweet retro vibe. Nice use of print and colour.
