Family Storytelling
January 28
Gather round Society for Storytelling members, Pippa Reid and Claudia Mernick at Harrow Arts Centre for a family storytelling session followed by a crafty workshop inspired by the tales of the day.

Storytelling Bus
January 28
Hop aboard a sightseeing bus for a tour of Bristol – with a difference. Join Martin Maudsley for a winding trip through the historic town centre, hearing the legends of the past that weave together the city's rich history. Or later join local performer Chris Brown for a seafaring adventure with tales of pirates, sailors and hidden treasures.

Round Robin Storytelling Session
January 28
Peter Street Library in St Helens is celebrating national storytelling week with a  number of family story sessions including round robin tales and an exciting book bingo game.

Pop-up Storytelling
January 29–February 4
London’s Horniman Museum will be hosting a pop-up library for the duration of National Storytelling Week where children can settle down for some quiet reading time or gather round a professional storyteller to hear tales from around the globe.

Winter Wassail
January 29
Bristol’s National Storytelling Week celebrations are set to include this traditional harvest time celebration with singing, dancing, apple themed activities and traditional tales.

Fairy Tales Read And Rhyme
January 30
Children who love a fairytale fantasy should dress up as their favourite character and come along to Eccleston Library in St Helens who will be hosting this magical story and rhyme session. Prizes will be awarded for the most enchanting costumes.

Hidden Treasures 
February 2
Charming independent Bookshop, The Hours, in Brecon will be opening its doors to story lovers of all ages for this tale-telling session by local raconteur Marion Oughton.

Signed Read And Rhyme Time
February 3
A special session at Eccleston Library where young children can enjoy a series of tales and verses communicated through both speech and sign language.

York Storytelling Festival
February 3–4
Two days of vibrant performances and tall tales within the historic city walls of York. Imaginative minds can enjoy tales of Far eastern adventures, folk singing, fables about fairies, perfect puppetry, magic, monsters, minstrels and much more in a variety of venues.
