When a simple still-life shot of some beauty products elicits exclamations, love heart eyes and shooting star emojis on your Instagram feed you know that something extra special has landed on the crowded baby care shelves.
Little Aurelia, the new baby range from natural skincare gurus Aurelia has captured everyone’s imagination with its adorable woodland animal illustrations and beautiful embossed packaging.
This is definitely luxury skincare for babies - reflected by the prices - but every product contains expertly blended essential oils and adheres to Aurelia’s strict pledge to only use BioOrganic, ethically sourced, cruelty-free ingredients without sulphates, parabens and mineral oils.
Little Aurelia is the perfect choice for anyone who is a stickler for all natural ingredients or for anyone who is looking for a new-baby gift that will be appreciated just as much or even more by mum.
We chatted to founder Claire Vero to find out where the inspiration for the products and their gorgeous packaging came from over an afternoon tea to celebrate the new launch at Mark’s club in Mayfair, we first asked her where the inspiration for range came from.

As a mummy I wanted to create a range of enchanting BioOrganic skincare products to support little ones’ wellbeing. The products had to soothe and nourish the skin, and be designed specifically for babies and young children. As with all our skincare, at Aurelia there is no compromising on the ingredients we use and we have a strict ingredients policy for everything we create.
And how did you come up with the packaging?
“I knew exactly what I wanted when it came to the design and we happened to have an intern working for us at the time who is a really talented illustrator. I turned up to work with loads of vintage Molly Brett and Brambley Hedge illustrations and said I want something with this feel. I am so happy with the results!”
To complement the Little Aurelia skincare range, there is also a super sweet anthology of bedtime poems all illustrated with the woodland characters that feature on the boxes. This really is one of those rare times that you can judge a book by its cover…
Our writer Ellie says: "Having tried the range, I can say that the products more than live up to their pretty exteriors and are an absolute pleasure to use. Blended with essential oils to help sooth and settle little ones before bed."
She added: "The Sleep Time Top to Toe Baby Wash smells fresh yet relaxing and has a lovely silky texture that rinses off easily and leaves a highly sniffable, make that addictive, gentle aroma on the skin. It didn’t wash off felt tip pen on the tummy completely (he grabbed it in a nanosecond!) on a first wash, which on reflection is testament to its gentle formula but it definitely made fast work of a grimy neck and grubby fists.
Another favourite from the range is the Comfort and Calm rescue balm which contains antimicrobial pure silver powder and Arrowroot with rich shea and mango butters, has a light whipped cream texture and again smells wonderful."
