Iconic teething toy, Sophie La Girafe is celebrating her 60th birthday by getting a brand new limited edition make-over - from you!
There aren’t many baby toys that are as iconic as Sophie la Girafe and although her perky expression and lithe rubber limbs, might persuade you otherwise, this little legend and friend to teethers everywhere, is turning 60 in May this year!
Since her launch in 1961, Sophie la Girafe has been made in exactly the same way from 100% natural rubber, derived from the sap of the Hevea tree and her renewable, natural materials and food grade non-toxic paint are all part of her enduring appeal.
We have to say Sophie looks rather chilly without her trademark patches but don’t worry, think of her more as a blank canvas than a giraffe who has lost her spots. To celebrate this major anniversary, families around the world are being invited to get involved in designing a limited-edition version, “Sophie By Me”! Children and their adults can visit the Sophie La Girafe website to choose from a selection of patterns and colours to create a virtual Sophie with a brand new image suitable for her sweet 60th.
