Sylvanian Families, the much-loved collectible toy range, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 20, 2015.
The collection of cute woodland critters was first created in 1985 by Japanese toy company EPOCH, and has been steadily gaining fans since its inception. Known for its woodland animals, doll houses, and matching furniture, Sylvanian Families aims to teach children about nature and family relationships. And of course, it looks to enrich the imaginations of children everywhere. After a quick office poll, they certainly to have made an impression on our childhoods.

SYLVANIAN FAMILIES 2015 EVENTS
British village to be ‘twinned’ with Sylvania A shortlist of villages in Britain that most resemble the Sylvanian community will be created this March. After the anniversary date, fans will be able to vote via social media for the best match. The primary school of the winning village will be visited by Sylvanian characters and presented with the ‘Sylvania’ community itself.
Nature-themed birthday picnics at National Trust properties This summer, Sylvanian Families will partner with two National Trust properties to host picnics. The goal is to bring together old and new fans alike with fun, nature-themed activities. Sylvanian characters and vintage toy displays will also be present.
New products and new families Sylvanian Families are headed for the beach this year! The company will launch sea-themed toys such as the Seaside Cruiser House Boat and the Adventure Treasure ship.
