WINNER OF BEST UNISEX FASHION COLLECTION: GOLD

WHO: Raising Ravers
WHAT: The Rave New World Collection
WHY: Sometimes a brand instantly stands out from the crowd and we just know it’s going to cause a stir. Case in point: Raising Ravers. From the moment we opened their neon yellow wrapped box full of paper confetti and the most amazing selection of mini rave wear, we were in love. These screamingly cool clothes are an homage to rave culture and festivals, but don’t for a minute envisage hand knitted rainbow jumpers and floral head dresses, these are proper, get up on a podium and shake your booty clothes that are pure essence of FUN. Our judges were completely smitten with the fantastic array of textures and colours, the low slung trousers in cosmic prints and a fluoro fun fur bomber jacket made from dead stock fabric. But it was the thoughtful and personality filled detailing on these clothes that really grabbed our judges. The labels inside that say “If lost at the rave please return to…” and the addition of straps inside jackets to keep them securely on shoulders, really showed the love and care that has gone into this brand. Unisex fashion at it’s brightest and best.

Pure joy! Love these clothes that are made with such care and can be passed down through the raving generations.

The label inside alone deserves an award. Such a cool, fun idea! I’m sure every child would enjoy dressing up in these pieces.
Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist and founder of @thelittlestylist
This collection caught my eye as soon as I arrived. I really love how fun and playful it is. The neon leopard fluffy bomber jacket is absolutely brilliant! Love it all, a mix of punk, rave, it all feels like Noel Fielding would be in heaven with these clothes!
Leonie Freeman, Children’s fashion and lifestyle photographer

WINNER OF BEST UNISEX FASHION COLLECTION: JOINT BRONZE

WHO: The QT
WHAT: A unisex organic cotton clothing collection
WHY: The fantastic quality of this collection was commented on time and time again. These softer than soft, jersey pieces are so well thought out in terms of being stylish, practical pieces for children to move and play in. With reinforced knees on trousers and high quality cuffs, pockets and waistbands, the attention to detail is excellent and these pieces will definitely be handed down through family and friends. Painterly animal prints on t-shirts provide contrast to the sporty vibe, but it was the plain basics with striped contrast linings and easy, on trend slouchy cuts that really stole the show and our panel felt this was a brand that both parents and children would love. The JDA team also thought The QT’s strong ethical values and support of The World Wild Life fund were wonderful to see.

Fantastic quality pieces that girls and boys will love.
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
These cotton pieces are SO soft and I loved all the attention to detail. Reinforced knees on trousers, gorgeous contrast lined hoods and pockets and lovely on-trend fluid lines make these pieces a cut above.
Eleonore Crompton, Contributing Editor, Junior
I am always a fan of brands that are able to build in ethical or sustainable values. It’s a win win situation when you can buy beautifully designed clothes and support such a worthy charity!
