We love to support new brands and labels so are always really pleased to share the winners of the Best Newcomer Awards... these are the ones to watch!
WINNER: GOLD FOR BEST UK FASHION NEWCOMER
WHO: KOKORI
WHAT: The luxury girl's clothing label with an emphasis on quality and affordable prices. For ages 2-12 years.
WHY: The beautiful muted tones, whimsical details and soft fabrics of Kokori really captured the panel's imagination and there was a huge amount of positive feedback for this label, designed by two sisters and inspired by their childhood adventures."So pretty!!!!" commented top children's stylist and JDA18 Judge Yvadney Davis and "Adore these dresses and they wash really well." said Junior Travel write and founder of Mini Travellers Karen Beddow, who knows the brand from last year's awards.

WHO: GRASS & AIR
WHAT: A new brand of slick, urban, outdoor children’s clothing from Manchester featuring weather proof clothing, colour-change wellies and umbrellas
WHY: Putting the fun into functionality, Grass & Air (northerners will get the pun!) have turned traditional outerwear on its head by giving it a super stylish, streamlined feel with fun details and extras. Our judges loved the simplicity of the design and the simple palette of colours. Children's Fashion Stylist and JDA18 judge Yvadney Davis said the range was, "Functional and oh so stylish." while fellow JDA panel member Sarah Clark, founder of Little Spree was impressed by the "Practical but stylish, simple design."

WINNER: BRONZE FOR BEST UK FASHION NEWCOMER
WHO: VERY MERRY BERRY
WHAT: A luxury children’s fashion brand that specialises in creating seasonal capsule wardrobes with a traditional feel that can be mixed and matched. For ages nine months to eight years.
WHY: Our judges loved the traditional silhouettes, motifs and bright colours showcased in Very Merry Berry's collection and loved the quality of the pieces. Junior Travel writer Karen Beddow noted "Incredible quality dresses." and Junior Editor Bonita Turner said "This collection is fantastic value and I love all the little extra details that set it apart from the high street."
