Our Junior Design Awards panel of judges said these were the products they wouldn't leave home without when travelling with babies and children!
WINNER OF BEST TRAVEL PRODUCT (for Children): GOLD
WHO: BedBox by JetKids by Stokke
WHAT: The BedBox a ride-on, carry-on and sleep-on suitcase for kids.
WHY: With travel getting back on track, we're all about making travelling with children easier, and the judges agreed that this was the perfect travel accessory for young children. Developed by a former airline captain and his wife - evident in the Aviation-inspired design - with a simple idea to create a seat extension allowing a child to lay down or sit more comfortably in their seat (ummm, where do us adults get one please?). Not only that, we love that the BedBox provides enough storage for weekend trips or hand luggage and fits under the seat or in the overhead compartment with standard hand-luggage dimensions. The swivel front wheels made for excellent manoeuvring, meaning kids can easily steer their own luggage! (We live in hope...)

I don’t know why this hasn’t been thought of before! Taking the ride along case to the next level by including a much needed level of comfort and practicality for both child AND parent. A really stylish design, I’d be happy to carry this as hand luggage never mind my daughter! Lovely touch to personalise the case with stickers.
This is such a great idea, especially for long haul flights!

WHAT: Away We Go Fabric Quiet Book for children aged 3+
WHY: We loved the 'When I grow Up' fabric quiet book from last year's awards so, it stands to reason we would equally adore the 'Away We Go' travel version. The perfect screen-free activity for young children when travelling or, even just the car ride to the supermarket. The judges remarked on the fully zippable design with meant no losing any parts, the soft carry handles which meant kids could carry with them anywhere and the engaging 10 pages of play for fine motor skills and sensory stimulation.
Love the design! It’s a really beautiful book. The detail and finish of the book is great.

Such a beautifully crafted and sensory book. Huge attention to detail and something I can imagine children of all ages playing with. Plenty to look at and plenty to do - such a timely book as families start to travel again. This book is a lovely way of showing children what to expect and can be enjoyed even if you are having a stayaction at home!

WHY: This stylish 100% UVA/UVB protection eyewear brand is inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean for kids and families. But, what sets them apart from other children's sunglasses is the light frames that are soft and ultra-flexible ,meaning they adapts to kids’s growth and the daily wear and tear. The judges loved that each pair comes clipped into a cute carry-case that can be attached to any bags, and the 100% bio-compostable paper pulp eco-packaging (that actually made a good DIY crafting box).
Robust and stylish - two words that don’t always go hand in hand for practical children’s products. But, these will not go out of fashion or date. An investment piece rather than a novelty, plus I’m a big fan of the twinning range.
