WINNER OF BEST TOY DESIGN 6+ YEARS: GOLD

WHO: DJECO
WHAT:
Zig & Go 52-piece music game

WHY: Wow! This build your own chain reaction toy really impressed our judges who could see just how exciting this game would be for junior engineers and any child who loves the satisfaction of a building project.Using a combination of thinking skills and construction; children can copy the 3 designs in the instruction booklet provided to build the musical action-reaction circuits, or make up their own, and the panel loved the fact that children could also go rogue and create their own inventions too. Perfect for mini Heath Robinsons or anyone who’s watched Joseph’s Machines (google it, you won’t regret it!) and wants to have a go themselves!

Brilliant!!!! Fun for the whole family!
Bonnie Van Geel, Founder of @pepper.pics
My son would absolutely love to put this together and I think it is just the right level of skill without being too hard as I have found with some of the musical wooden marble run set ups.
Chloe Thurston, Stylist and Influencer @chloeuberkids
A great table top game for budding engineers and musicians.

WINNER OF BEST TOY DESIGN 6+ YEARS: SILVER

WHO: HUE
WHAT:
Animation Studio (for Windows) is a STEM approved, movie-making starter kit for children aged 7-13.

WHY: Our judges were all extremely excited by this stop motion movie making kit that includes everything a budding animator needs to create stop-motion movies using modelling clay, LEGO®, 2D drawings or a favourite toy. To get the next generation Sofia Coppolas and Steven Spielbergs off to a flying start, this pack provides a colourful, flexible, HUE HD Camera, HUE Animation software (perpetual single user licence), a full-colour, 60 page animation activity book as well as digital resources, sound effects and backgrounds. The panel felt that this was a reasonably priced and easy to use entry point into stop motion film making, that would keep children immersed for hours, developing a real skill, building self esteem and giving them endless opportunities to create exciting mini movies.

Pepper did a stop motion workshop at school but this would have been so much better! Love all the features!

I love this! I think the kids would really enjoy it, and it is a really relevant kit for current technology!

WINNER OF BEST TOY DESIGN 6+ YEARS: BRONZE

WHO: Sylvanian Families
WHAT:
Baby Amusement Park
WHY:
Another triumph for the highly collectible Sylvanian Families, this fairy tale dream of a baby amusement park could not be any cuter! Designed to showcase the infant members of the Sylvanian clan, this fairy tale themed amusement park, featuring a Ferris Wheel, swinging Viking ship ride and rocket, has moving parts and tiny carriages that send small fluffy kittens, bunnies and pandas up to dizzying heights. Many of our panel were avid Sylvanian fans when they were children, so this toy scored highly for sheer nostalgia but our judges also felt that the excitement of all the moving parts and the ability to display up to 30 Sylvanian babies on this ride made it a real collectors item that children would love to play with.

Love the pastel colours and spinning sections. I grew up loving Sylvanian families and it’s lovely to see the joy continue for another generation.
Yvadney Davis, Children’s Stylist
Finally the babies can enjoy the fun of the fair! I love the fact that you get three baby Sylvanian's with this set too. And, don't even talk to me about the cute rocket ride!
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
Would it have been up to Pepper she would let this one win. After all these years still a big Sylvanian Families fan.
Bonnie Van Geel and Pepper, Photographer and Child Model @pepper.pics
I am the biggest Sylvanian Families fan! I used to love the babies so much, so love the baby ranges these days. I am so happy that the Sylvanian animals are still made in their original design!
