WINNER OF BEST PUSHCHAIR DESIGN: GOLD
WHO: Bugaboo
WHAT: The Bugaboo Fox 2
WHY: There’s no doubt about it, the Bugaboo still has the power to draw parents in with its cool good looks and those distinctive looking easy steer wheels. Our judges were certainly drawn to the Bugaboo Fox 2, which is part of the brand’s All-Terrain range and builds on years of smart design and rigorous testing. The panel loved the light weight feel, the ease of steering – even with one hand – and the robust all terrain wheels. The extra thought that had gone into baby’s comfort was also impressive. Advanced central-joint suspension and additional rear-wheel suspension gave a super smooth ride while high quality, soft to the touch fabrics and a deep hood made the carry cot and seat unit feel cosy and luxurious. A great buggy for 0-4 years.

WHO: Cosatto
WHAT: Cosatto Wow Continental Pushchair
WHY: Our judges loved the stylish design of this buggy with it’s eye-catching hood, bold logo and sleek black frame. On closer inspection and having pushed the buggy around the JDA exhibition floor space the panel were extremely impressed with the easy steering and functionality of this buggy. The extra deep storage caddy underneath with plenty of room for shopping scored highly as did the buggy’s adaptable dual suspension modes, which with the flick of a switch can give you the absorption you need for smooth city streets or rugged country terrain. With so many other thoughtful inbuilt details for making journeys smoother and easier we felt this was a fantastic option for parents who want a buggy that really delivers from 0-3 years.

WHO: Micralite
WHAT: Micralite GetGo
WHY: Is it a buggy? is it a handbag?! Our judges loved this incredibly compact lightweight buggy that miraculously folds down with one hand in just one second and can be carried with ease over one shoulder with a detachable padded strap. Genius! Other fab features that the panel admired, included the multi-terrain, puncture-proof tyres, smart leather handles, dynamic four-wheel suspension, lockable swivel wheels and a large storage caddy. A fantastic lightweight highly portable buggy for anyone who wants fuss-free, hands free adventures.

WINNER OF BEST PUSHCHAIR DESIGN: BRONZE
WHO: Inglesina
WHAT: Inglesina Aptica XT
WHY: This sleek, contemporary looking buggy really caught our judges’ attention and the robust high quality finish was admired by all. The one-hand fold mechanism was easy to operate and steering was a dream while the patented independent suspension adjustment system on each wheel that adapts to different surfaces and reduces vibrations was easy to operate. Perhaps one of the most interesting details that set this buggy apart from the others was the addition of a handy crib stand so that the generous carry cot can be carried into the bedroom, placed on the stand and used as a bassinet. Our judges thought it was fantastic that this would potentially save on the purchase of a crib and that the stand could also be used to create a steady high chair with the addition of the car seat. Very clever.
