WHO: Wooshh by Rockit

WHAT: A rechargeable, portable, pocket size sound soother from Rockit.

WHY: Anyone who has had a baby that only sleeps to the sound of a whale using the hoover will know how vital a sound soother is. The fact that Rockit have made one that can fit in your pocket with no compromise on the quality of sound or breadth of choice - there are 8 sound choices from ambient music to womb noise and even a genuine NASA released outer space track - is genius. Despite being so small this gadget can also last for 10 hours straight. Our judges were extremely impressed by the design and quality of this product and could immediately see how helpful it would be to parents on the go.

Rockit are relentless when it comes to perfecting products that out-perform the rest of the market. This is going to be on the wish list of so many parents who know how powerful white noise can be for soothing babies.

Very clever concept. Small, concise, effective. I don’t know anyone else doing something this small and travel friendly.
Ginnie Chadwyck Healy, Fashion Editor @ginniech00
Absolutely genius invention! I wish this was around when I had my babies! (I had the Rocket - which was a wonderful product) This is a perfect handbag size - perfect for bringing absolutely everywhere with you! A fabulous invention.
Jakki Jones, Talent PR and artist, @jakkidoodles
Love the look and feel of this product, which is very powerful despite its portability. MUCH more convenient than sitting your baby under an extraction fan in their car seat or turning on the hairdryer when they desperately need to go to sleep! I’ve been there.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS WINNERS FOR BEST PRODUCT/ECO PRODUCT DESIGN FOR BABIES: SILVER

WHO: BIBS Try-It Collection

WHAT: A box of four different pacifiers with a variety of teats and textures that give parents the possibility of testing different shapes and sizes to find the perfect fit for their baby.

WHY:
These pacifier box sets and comforters really struck a chord with our parent judges, many of whom were familiar with the stress of trying to find a dummy that their baby will take to. Babies can be really fussy when it comes to accepting a pacifier and if you do want to use one, this is a great way to have all possible options to hand. Our judges were also impressed by the cute contemporary design and calming colour palette.

The stress of finding the right shaped pacifier or dummy to soothe your baby is knocked on the head by this fantastic selection box.
Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR
Great idea.
Cat Buttigieg, content creator, @me_and_my_butts
Congratulations on a really refreshing product! I love the GOTS certified organic cotton fabric used for the comforters. Great move away from the standard cuddly toy pacifiers you see on the market. Love the scandi palette.
Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey, Fashion Editor, @ginniech00
Absolutely love the muted colour palettes. I can well remember the frustration of making trip after trip to the pharmacy to try to find a dummy that my baby would like, so this feels like a great idea! You can then pass on the dummies that don’t work for you.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS WINNERS FOR BEST PRODUCT/ECO PRODUCT DESIGN FOR BABIES: JOINT BRONZE

WHO: blankei organic cotton cellular blanket

WHAT: An organic cotton cellular baby blanket

WHY: There’s a reason why cellular blankets have always been on the traditional check-list of baby essentials but somehow they never got the update they needed until now. Our judges loved blankei’s breathable, organic cotton blankets that come in an array of on trend colours and feel much softer to the touch than their cellular counterparts. These are blankets that babies will love to snuggle with and that parents will want to treasure.

Love the Skandi palette and I appreciate the simplicity when so many blankets have endless detail or animals.
Ginnie Chadwyck Healey, Fashion Editor, @ginniech00
Stylish, sustainable, stand-out, sentimental - and one you would love to pass down to future little siblings! I always feel a baby’s first blanket is so important - as you always remember it and parents love passing it down. As will you do, with this beauty.
Jakki Jones, Talent PR and artist, @jakkidoodles
A wonderful, sustainable product made in the UK. Absolutely love the presentation, the colours and feel of these baby blankets. The Tiba + Marl collab is especially gorgeous.
Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR

WHO: aden + anais

WHAT: aden + anais consciously Curated GOTS-Certified Organic Collection

WHY: This brand’s softer than soft, iconic oversize muslins and baby accessories are well known and loved by parents and many of our judges were already fans. Everyone loved the faded seventies inspired floral prints and sweet animal motifs but the biggest talking point was the brand’s pledge to sustainability. This consciously curated collection is made exclusively using 100% organic cotton muslin and is the first to be GOTS-Certified. From farm to final product, aden + anais produce their line to the strictest ecological, social and processing standards – the benchmark for all future collections.

I’ve fallen in love with the adorable overblown blooms print and just know parents will love these high quality products that guarantee a sustainable start to family life.
Bonita Turner, Editor, JUNIOR
Love the quiet charm of the designs. It takes a big name like A & A to adjust their fabrics to be more environmentally aware, and so lead a sea change in the industry so I really applaud this move.
Ginnie Chadwyck Healey, Fashion Editor, @ginniech00
Exceptional quality and care that now extends from product to production. Bravo aden + anais!
