WHO: The Little White Company
WHAT: Rattan Elephant Bookcase
WHY: SO many people fell in love with this Elephant, which we all agreed would add such a fun and stylish element to any child’s room as well as providing some great bonus storage. The hand woven rattan was beautifully woven and felt sturdy and durable as well as being lightweight enough to hang on any wall with its integral fixings. Our judges all agreed that this was a fun, stylish bookcase that would form many happy memories and be a talking point for years to come.

WHO: Gaia Baby
WHAT: Serena Rocking & Nursing Chair by Gaia Baby
WHY: The Junior team would like to personally thank Gaia baby for entering this gorgeous rocking chair into the awards. We have never sat on a piece of furniture so enthusiastically between judging or even while judging before! SO comfy! This chic, mid century influenced version of the traditional rocking and nursing chair, breathes fresh air into a nursery staple, and provides so much comfort during all those feeds – giving weary parents a wonderful way to take the weight off their feet while they rock with baby and bond. The clean lines, generous seat and thoughtful touches including an extra lumbar cushion and padded armrests, were all applauded by our panel who felt that this was such a stylish piece of furniture that it would stay in the family home long after it had finished its role as a nursing chair.

WHO: Shnuggle
WHAT: The Shnuggle Air Bedside Crib
WHY: Our judges were so impressed with this gorgeous bedside crib that not only looks good with its soft muted tones and Scandi influenced design, but allows you to sleep close to your baby without having to share the same bed. The dual-view, mesh sides, which help to maximise airflow as well as giving parents a clear view of their baby were much praised and clever features such as a gentle incline option to help ease colic, a handy storage space in the base for all those essentials you need to keep to hand, made this a hugely popular entry in this category. But the most popular feature by far was the fact that not only can this crib go from bedside to stand alone crib it can then be converted into a full size cot suitable for up to 2 years with the purchase of a simple Cot Conversion Kit when baby needs more space.

WINNER OF BEST INTERIORS PRODUCT DESIGN (FURNITURE): BRONZE
WHO: Aristot by DockATot
WHAT: A new concept in modular bassinet design that brings innovation and high-style to the juvenile furniture market.
WHY: These luxury bassinets really stood out to our judges who loved the sense of opulence created by the mix of quilted soft-touch fabrics featuring Morris & Co prints, teamed with sleek, contemporary and interchangeable bases made from supreme coated steel. Once baby has outgrown the bassinet, each piece can be reconfigured into an heirloom quality table or stool, which can then be passed down to future generations. Designer and founder Lisa Furuland, who also created the DockATot pod, says her goal was to set a new standard in luxury design for a juvenile product and our panel felt she had definitely succeeded.
