WHAT: No Fred’s iconic Mouse School furniture is designed to support your child’s learning and creativity when school begins. The height and size provide comfortable seating for ages 6-10.
WHY: Simple, fun, pared back Danish design at its best. This exquisitely and sustainably produced furniture was a huge hit with our judges who loved the fact this this quirky and original design would look good anywhere in the house. Our judges were extremely complimentary: “So adorable and original!!” said Diana Bardega, founder of The Mamahood “Gorgeous sturdy, timeless design that would work in a range of spaces and grow with the child.” added Lisa Mehydene, founder of Edit 58. “Taps into the stylish mid-century trend but still kids friendly. Love this design!” was what Yvadney Davis, Children’s Fashion Stylist added to her judging notes.

WHO: LITTLE GREY CELLS
WHAT: A sustainably produced playful and stylish formica and plywood furniture and accessories collection with a Scandinavian influence, bright retro accents and cross-over appeal.
WHY: If you’re a fan of clean design, rainbows, stars and lightening bolts, this collection is for you! Designed with children and parents in mind, the simple shapes and bold rainbow colours make these stand out pieces that could go in any room in the house. Our judges were very excited by this new brand and their positive comments were summed up by top children’s fashion and interiors stylist Yvadney Davis who said “In love with this! Stylish and practical.”
WINNER: SILVER FOR BEST INTERIORS PRODUCT DESIGN (FURNITURE)
WHAT: New kids lifestyle brand Honey Rock’s best selling Coco Mini chair designed especially to fit little bottoms and cool interiors.
WHY: This gorgeous little rattan chair really stood out amongst its competitors and several of our judges wanted to take one home. Junior Editor Bonita Turner said “I absolutely love the retro feel of these chairs and can just see them appearing in cool interiors shoots and all over instagram. Love!”

WINNER: BRONZE FOR BEST INTERIORS PRODUCT DESIGN (FURNITURE)
WHAT: A multi-tasking bench seat and a storage trunk that rolls out from underneath including a removable divider to help sort toys.
WHY: Our judges were impressed with this super smart storage piece that doubles as a toy chest and cute reading nook featuring a handy blackboard plaque on the drawer so that it can easily be personalised or labelled with its contents. Michelle Kennedy, founder of parenting app Peanut commented, “I don’t know a home without something from GLTC. Great price points, nice design, always thinking about the things you didn’t realise you needed.”
