WHAT: THE UPF 50 Cotton Canvas Kids Lillie Tent

WHY: This simple open-ended tent caused quite a stir on our judging days at Junior HQ. The pared back design, gorgeous muted colour-ways and sweet nine pane window that can accommodate a menagerie of soft toy faces were much admired, but it was the practical details that really caught our judges’ attention. The protective UPF 50 cotton canvas that gives extra sun protection when kids are outside in the garden or on the beach was a big talking point, but perhaps the most popular feature was its portability and easy-to-store design. When assembled, the tent can be folded at it’s hinge and stored behind a sofa/against a wall when it isn’t needed but it also folds back down to the size of a fishing rod in a handy fabric case that can be easily transported to exciting locations or stowed away when not in current use. Brilliant design and so much fun for kids.

A really exciting new brand, I think these products will become new nursery and playroom staples. I love their colour palette too.
Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist and founder of @thelittlestylist
Such a clever tent. The simple design will complement your living space, keep children entertained and the the fact that it folds down so compactly makes it perfect for anyone tight on space or storage.
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
I had so much fun playing with this tent (I mean setting it up for the awards!) so I can only imagine how much actual children would love it! The quality is fantastic and its portability is genius.

WHAT: The DockATot x Morris & Co. Home Collection

WHY: DockATot’s luxury teepees and oh-so-soft floor cushions, scatter cushions, their now iconic multifunction baby pod, and moses baskets all bedecked in archive prints from Morris & Co had our judges in raptures. The incredible quality of the materials used, the well chosen sumptuous patterns, colours and the clever design – always placing comfort at the fore - all scored highly. Many a judge cooed over the teepee and tassel trimmed floor cushions, wishing they could take them home and the panel felt the pared back simple design of the DockATot pod was given another layer of luxury with its Arts and Crafts print cover. William Morris’ famous quote "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.", is truly met here.

I just think these are super beautiful.
Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist
Teaming up with Morris & Co. was such a bold and visionary move on DockATot’s part. These classic prints from a bygone era are the perfect complement to this luxury brand’s stunning designs.
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
I could lie on those floor cushions for days. A stunning juxtaposition of design and print – the attention to detail is incredible.

WHO: Great Little Trading Co.

WHAT: Around the World Rug (Large)

WHY: This beautiful rug was super popular with our judges who all noted the luxurious quality of the thick pure wool and the beautifully executed design. The JDA panel felt that this simplified map of the world would be a great way to introduce children to the wonders of our planet and the animals who live alongside us, stimulating their imaginations and giving them an early affinity with the natural world.

My son would love this to play with all his animals on. He has a map on his wall with animals on it, which he loves, but I haven't seen anything like this. A great idea.
Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist
This is a stunning rug that would make a great focal point for any play space - perfect for stimulating young imaginations and teaching them about our planet in the process!
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
Such a beautiful rug that is perfect for crawling babies and older children too. The quality is amazing.
