WHAT: Handwoven toy baskets made for little hands that are ethically produced by highly skilled weavers in remote villages in Senegal and designed to fit into any decor scheme

WHY: There were so many love heart eyes for these bright and beautiful baskets, which are ideal for stowing away clutter and toys. Our judges loved the sturdiness and practicality of this product as well as the simple beautiful design. Comments ranged from "Absolutely amazing!" to "Love, love, love!" Mama and founder of Little Spree, Sarah Clark commented, "Beautiful storage for children’s rooms/spaces." But perhaps the biggest accolade came from the basket queen herself, Lisa Mehydene, founder of beautiful interiors site Edit 58 "As a lady that loves her baskets - these really appeal to me! Gorgeous design and perfect for a range of uses."

WHO: MIFFY FIRST LIGHT

WHAT: The USB rechargeable, iconic Miffy First Light designed by Mr. Maria adds a soft glow and a friendly face to the nursery, bedroom or, even adult spaces

WHY: This gender neutral bunny has enchanted generations of children who can now have a 30cm high model of this much loved character lit up in their bedrooms for reading or just as a friendly companion. JDA18 judge Sarah Clark (from Little Spree) declared the Miffy light "A design classic." while interiors guru and founder of website Edit 58 said "Classic Miffy! I adore this light. Perfect for all interior spaces - whether that be a vintage style room, or a scandi chic minimalist space. It adds a charm and warmth to all children’s rooms."

WHO: EVE SLEEP BABY MATTRESS

WHAT: A high quality, pocket sprung baby mattress designed to provide the ultimate support for your child, with a 3D breathable mesh side panel to further promote aeration throughout the product, in Eve’s signature wrap-around yellow.

WHY: Our judges felt that this mattress provided excellent support and the thoughtful design, including added extras like the waterproof protector panel and breathable mesh side panel made it a cut above its competitors. Yvadney Davis, JDA18 judge, mother of 2 and top children's stylist said "Great technology and love the washable cover." Junior Editor Bonita Turner said, "This is a fantastic mattress and I'm so impressed by the fact that they give 15% of all profits to The Lullaby Trust."

WHAT: Clever and playful design company Anorak's new bedding collection featuring a stand out killer whale motif.

WHY: A new set of bed linen is the quickest and easiest way to give a nursery an update and this super graphic design would be perfect for injecting a fresh feel into any bedroom. Perfect for kids who love their marine life and prefer a more sleek and minimal design. Our judges were very impressed. Diana Bardega, founder of The Mamahood said "Love love love. So hard to find cool boys bedding!" while founder of Mini Travellers and Junior Travel Writer Karen Beddow said "Gorgeous design. Love it!"
