WHY: Our judges loved this beautifully presented collection of wallpapers and soft furnishings that allow little ones to enjoy the company of the most gorgeous woodland animals and a whole selection of beautifully observed flora and fauna in their very own bedrooms. This collection was inspired by founder Corinne’s own family walks in the woods and the result is truly magical. The panel were impressed by the high quality printing, attention to detail and the commitment to using FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved and CE certified paper, water based inks and eco friendly cushion fillers produced from recycled plastic bottles.

Every year, Bear & Beau wow us with their beautiful designs. The founder’s hand drawn illustrations are just gorgeous and I particularly love the idea of bringing a beautiful woodland experience inside.

WHAT: Kids Art and Learning Prints by Elle Poulson

WHY: Our judges loved this entry, which builds on creator Elle Poulson’s passion for design and her background in education as a former Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo. Her prints and ply board letter boards double up as tools to encourage learning in a fun and accessible way, while standing up as pieces of art in their own right. The panel were super impressed by these tactile, bright illustrations and alphabet cards presented in a fresh and modern way. The Print Play Learn learning resources subscription service for teachers and parents to support learning in schools and at home was also praised.

Brilliant life cycle prints, great learning and wonderfully illustrated too.

WHO: Munks and Me
WHAT: Children’s Wallpaper and Murals

WHY: The Munks and Me collection really impressed our judges who loved the sense of scale and adventure that these designs bring to a room. The jungle-scapes, beautifully drawn animals and colourful graphic scenes with a contemporary feel are high impact and joyful and the panel felt there were plenty of options to suit different tastes and create both restful and upbeat environments. The bespoke service, where wallpaper can be custom made to fit individual walls was applauded and the Junior team were very impressed by the clever presentation of the entire collection on one easy to view sheet of wallpaper! Clever.

Wow! The detail is epic.

WHY: These bespoke, cut to size murals in gorgeous shades of ice-cream and terracotta made a big impact on our judges who loved the fresh, modern designs that enable parents to instantly elevate play spaces into something very special indeed. The warm colour palette and simple nature inspired graphics are perfect for families who love a pared back contemporary feel with a large dose of fun. The brand’s use of ethically sourced, non- woven papers and bio degradable packaging was also applauded.

An instant way to drench your home in sunshine! Lovely.

WHAT: Peace and Love Print

WHY: This print really resonated with our panel who loved the simple, uplifting and friendly image of a dove carrying an olive branch surrounded by the words peace & love. At a time when we need to focus on these core values more than ever, the JDA judging team all felt this piece would make a wonderful addition to a child’s wall and would fit in with lots of different décor tastes.The panel were also excited about founder Kelly’s strong eco-credentials and her ethos that everyone should be able to afford beautiful art.
