JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 JOINT GOLD WINNER: Best Heritage Children’s Fashion Brand (Brands over 10 years old)
WHO: Muddy Puddles
WHAT: Muddy Puddles have been dedicated to enabling children to get outdoors in rain, wind and snow for almost 30 years. With a reputation for exceptional quality, the brand stays ahead of its competitors by constantly reviewing and updating the technology that they use in the production of its garments. New for AW20 is the ‘Puffertech’, a waterproof, seamless padded PU Jacket, using seam free technology, that allows the warmth and lightness of a puffer style fabric to be fully waterproof to 5000mm.
WHY: The judges were blown away with Muddy Puddles’ focus on sustainability (they were one of the first to develop garments made from recycled fabric, with our Eco-Splash Jackets and All-in-Ones that launched over 5 years ago and all garments are packaged in biodegradable polybags). They loved the Muddy Puddles’ Autumn Winter 2020 collection which takes its design direction from vintage railway posters that showcases some of the most stunning British landscapes and were all equally excited about the SS21 Riley collection, inspired by the work of the British Artist, Bridget Riley and her use of graphic shapes and colours.
