WHY: Not only did our judges feel that the quality and design of these cases were exceptional but that they really provide a simple and elegant solution as to where to store all those magical childhood keepsakes that are far too special to throw away. How many people have lost that first lock of hair carefully placed in an envelope, have no idea where to locate baby’s first passport or now only have one of the first booties they so lovingly gave their baby? These beautiful storage boxes provide one safe home for all those little pieces of treasure and are so gorgeous you’ll want to make a feature of them. The beautiful shades of leather, the personalised luggage tags and the exquisitely made linings complete with multiple pockets and compartments are reminiscent of vintage suitcases and the experience of opening one of these boxes is a moment of wonder. The panel felt that these were a beautiful luxury item that would be revisited time after time by delighted children and nostalgic parents.
The incredible quality, attention to detail and real practical value of these cases really shone out. Literally a gift that keeps on giving through the years.

WHAT: Handmade Knitted heirloom toys
WHY: These beautifully knitted and embroidered toys caused a huge stir in our JDA exhibition space. The quality and incredible attention to detail was noted by everyone but it was the fabulous personality of each of these creatures that really struck our judges. The gorgeous faces, jaunty bows, oh-so-chic turbans were just some of the features that our panel felt made these animals a cut above your average soft toy. The sheer huggability of these toys and the inherent eco-credentials of wool made them firm favourites with the entire panel, who agreed that any member of the Marjorie Minnie crew would make a great gift from newborn up.

WHAT: DIY Baking and Activity sets
WHY: The gift of cooking, the gift of independence, the gift of creativity, the gift of self-esteem, the gift of happy tastebuds! All these factors were considered by our judges when it came to scoring Craft & Crumb’s fabulous baking pack entry. The panel felt that these beautifully presented gift boxes with truly original and tempting looking baking recipes would really excite children and inspire them to cook as well as giving them an opportunity to bond with their parent helpers. The simple to follow instructions and pre-measured ingredients mean these recipes are practically foolproof and the eco friendly packaging makes this a gift that adults can feel good about on so many levels – not least that they guarantee time out from screen time and give kids a real sense of pride.
I love these sets for gifts idea because it’s something that the whole family can enjoy together - especially the eating part! We made the pizza cookies in lockdown and they were a baking success!

WHAT: Curated gift boxes and bags accessories for people and their pets.
WHY: This brand makes life easier, brighter and more fun! These were the overarching themes of the comments from our JDA judges. This fabulous curation of upbeat, stylish accessories for children, grown-ups and pets really appealed to the panel who thought the quality and originality of the gifts on offer was excellent and that the packaging and presentation made them feel even more exciting and special. The cardboard boxes with pull out drawers lined with contrasting paper were extremely popular and many of our judges commented on how useful they would be for stylish storage or re-gifting. Our judges felt this was a fool-proof, time saving way to buy and send gifts to a loved one, knowing that they would be absolutely thrilled with the contents and the packaging!
Such a simple concept executed so beautifully. All the gifts are fab and with no need to organise wrappig paper this is a no brainer for anyone who needs to send a present in the post.
A really like that these little boxes pull together several items to make a well thought out gift!

WHY: Wow! The attention to detail that went into the presentation of this entry was on another level. Our judges were enchanted by all the ribbon tied, individually wrapped and specially curated gift bundles that Cocobanana sent us to represent every member of the family. The sustainability element of all the gifts was hugely appreciated, although every item was so covetable and gorgeous that the provenance of the items wasn’t the first thought that came into our heads. The mixture of unusual, original and exciting gifts, so expertly chosen really impressed us and many of our judges noted the option of complimentary gift wrapping and hand written cards, making this a gift service with a wonderful hand-finished feel.
