WHO: Oliver’s Travels

WHAT: Luxury family villa holidays

WHY: This cleverly curated collection of houses, castles and villas, selected for their wow factor and suitability for family gatherings, really excited our judges. The panel loved the OT guarantee of providing somewhere truly special to stay as well as the excellent concierge service that takes the stress out of finding a reputable baby sitter and provides well researched guides to family activities in the local area. The dedicated "Kids" tab on each of Oliver’s Travels property pages, showing exactly what entertainment, amenities and games there are for children also impressed the judges.

Such a well-researched thoughtful service, that makes magical, hiccup free holidays a reality.

I’ve stayed at a UK based Oliver’s Travels house and it was spectacular. Definitely a great resource for finding unusual and exciting holiday homes that the whole family will remember for years to come.
Eleonore Crompton, Deputy Editor, JUNIOR
I really liked the unusual categories such as chateaux and castles - the selection looks amazing and really stands out as a family travel option. The concierge service/ travel genie also sounds perfect for busy parents!

WHO: Martinhal

WHAT: A collection of luxury family hotels in Portugal

WHY: This collection of luxury family hotels offers fabulous children’s facilities without ever compromising on providing a wonderfully sophisticated environment for parents to relax in. Our judges loved the amazing attention to detail that this company offers, with everything a baby or child might need, catered for. With washing machines in every apartment and even puree menus at the restaurants, everything is covered. The Baby Concierge service, which allows guests to book all manner of baby essentials, from sterilisers to potties is also a big plus. A holiday destination where you can really relax and leave all your problems and baby equipment at home.

A fantastic destination for young families who want to enjoy beautiful beaches and city breaks, with the security that everything they could possibly need is at hand and that their children will be made more than welcome. Having stayed at two of the hotels I can testify that Martinhal is something very special.
Bonita Turner, Editor of JUNIOR
I’ve stayed at a handful of the hotels in Portugal and loved them! They make travelling with kids a breeze and have really carved out a niche in the market. I’ve recommended them both in articles and to my friends since visiting.

Wonderful kids club and caters for all sorts of holidays.
Tiffany Norris, Celebrity Maternity Concierge @mummyconciergehq
Post covid, good quality kid’s clubs have become even more important, as children catch up on both missed educational experiences and socialising with their peers. The Explorers Kids Clubs sound like a great resource for families, and I love the addition of the eco explorers theme!
