This year we have awarded a special Editor's Choice Award to the Best Family Hotel in the Junior Design Awards 2020
With travel being one of the hardest hit industries over the period of the pandemic, this year we decided to replace our usual travel awards with a handful of Editor’s Choice Awards for those outstanding travel businesses that go out of their way to give children a magical holiday experience.

WHAT: Hillside Beach Club is a luxury hideaway in Fethiye, Turkey offering guests a home away from home in privately owned Kalemya Bay, surrounded by fragrant pine forests and twinkling turquoise sea.

WHY: This magical Turkish Hideaway goes out of its way to give children a wonderful welcome and endless fun and activities throughout their stay. The warmth extended to families is second to none and every need has been thought of and catered to. With endless beach and stunning woodland at their fingertips, as well as top of the range sports facilities and pools, there are plenty of amazing activities on offer from robot building to waterskiing in the azure sea.
As well as making sure the children are looked after, the team at Hillside Beach Club make sure there are plenty of ways for parents to unwind and relax. Sunrise beach yoga classes, guided meditation and a choice of two spas where parents can indulge in a well deserved deep tissue massage in a tree-top treatment room to the sound of birdsong are all on offer. Utter bliss.
Through my role here at Junior I have been lucky enough to visit a lot of the places we feature and the resorts who enter the awards. I had already judged and scored Hillside Beach Resort before I visited last year... so am pleased to see them win again here. One word:WOW. Hillside is everything you would want from a luxury hotel and more. The resort, the staff and the atmosphere is made for families - and we didn't want to leave! In fact my daughter often asks when we are going to that place with the fun kids club again - and I know she means Hillside Beach Club!
