WINNER OF BEST ECO CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE DESIGN: JOINT GOLD

WHO: Eco Rascals

WHAT: Eco Rascals Tableware Range
WHY: This beautifully made bamboo and silicone tableware really drew in our judges who loved the beautiful natural grain of the bamboo, given new life in the form of a super cute dinosaur plate with two large sections for different types of food and a strong suction base to prevent plate frisbee. The matching bamboo and food grade silicone spoons finish off the whole eye pleasing look and our panel felt children would absolutely love to eat with these sets. Made from 100% FSC certified bamboo, which is biodegradable, and matures rapidly without the requirement of pesticides, this is a fab eco-friendly option for parents who want to lessen their impact on the planet. Our judges were also impressed to hear that the brand’s zero-waste policy means the bamboo for this tableware is only cut down when their order is placed.

Creative, new design and material use. I think any child would want to eat out of this.

baby-boosa

WINNER OF BEST ECO CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE DESIGN: JOINT GOLD

WHO: Baby Boosa

WHAT: Baby Boosa Weaning Essentials Collection
WHY: This family run business has placed an emphasis on sustainability from the start by cutting out any single use plastic from their supply and delivery chain. Every Baby Boosa item is packaged in a signature, re-usable mesh storage bag, which can be used for storage, shopping, organising toys and even washing football boots in, according to the founders! Another eco-friendly initiative that our judges were excited to discover is Baby Boosa’s Recycle to Play scheme allowing customers to send back any silicone items they no longer need so that they can be made into playground flooring. Brilliant! Over all, the lovely tactile nature of this silicone tableware really appealed to our judges as did the contemporary muted tones and fab leopard prints found on their very cool looking bibs.

WHAT: Babycup Sippeco First Cups
WHY: These teeny tiny colourful cups created to help develop healthy sipping skills and to provide a solution for cup-feeding infants in times of feeding challenges such as latch issues, bottle-refusal, cleft or tongue-tie have always been a Junior favourite. The simple idea of creating a cup that is easy for little hands to hold and little mouths to get purchase on is a no brainer.
