We make light work of choosing that all important first bed for your newborn with these Junior Award winning designs
JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 PLATINUM WINNER: Best Crib / Pod / Moses Design
WHO: Snoo by Happiest Baby
WHAT: The Snoo Smart sleeper bassinet, which has been designed in partnership with Yves Behar (formerly of Apple & Jawbone) MIT engineer and tested for over 5 years and officially rated the safest cot for newborns.
WHY: The Snoo Smart sleeper bassinet places design innovation at its core, which has resulted in it being included exhibits at the V&A, London and the Red Dot in Singapore and in the permanent collection at the Smithsonian in Washington, USA. As well as a stunning design, it is practical (you can travel with it as the legs clip on and off easily), functional, incredibly light, easy to build and above all is a safe cot for a new baby, which responds to babies cries with a rocking motion that soothes them off to sleep - meaning babies and parents can get on average an extra 1-3 hours sleep a night! It deserves Platinum for that alone!
The Snoo is what makes the Junior Design Awards so great - an opportunity to show off and showcase a totally new, innovative and unique design that literally blew the judges away.
Wow! Quite probably the most stylish sleeper a newborn could have.
Pricey yes but this product looks and sounds amazing. I want one.
Ultra breathable and high tech with rocking controlled by an app that also creates your baby’s sleep log. Can also control rocking if your baby is a preemie

WHAT: The Deluxe+ is the ultimate Stage 1 docking station for babies ages 0-8+ months old, offering a safe and comfy spot that lets baby lounge, rest, play, cuddle, co-sleep, do tummy time and have nappy changes.
WHY: Being placed in a DockATot (formally Sleepyhead) has almost become a rite of passage for any newborn. Multifunctional and multitasking, parents love these lightweight and portable pods. This year's collaboration with William Morris, further echoes the brand's philosophy 'that parents need never choose between functionality and style'. Additional covers are available to match mood, room and style - and the judges all agreed they were a new parent must-have.
Probably the nicest pod I’ve ever seen!
This a beautiful product that cleverly blends fashion and function.
I used DockATot (then Sleepyhead) with both of my children and they were undoubtedly one of my must haves and most recommended products. I love these new covers and will be buying again for my next baby! Can't recommend enough...

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 BRONZE WINNER: Best Crib / Pod / Moses Design
WHO: Aristot
WHAT: A new concept in modular bassinet design that brings innovation and high-style to the juvenile furniture market designed by Lisa Furuland, creator of Sleepyhead and DockATot for babies suitable from newborn.
WHY: There's no doubt the Aristot stirs a lot of opinions at the Junior Design Awards judging days! Everyone agrees these handmade pieces (crafted by European artisans) exude innovation and are perfect for making a statement in the home. With interchangeable bases designed to be transformed into adult furniture (like a table or stool) once baby has grown, this design was praised for being versatile and a true heirloom that could be passed down to future generations. The judges were very impressed that despite the luxury price tag, the velvet style fabrics, eco leather look materials, and marble fabrics were easy to clean but most importantly offered a perfectly snug and cozy space for babies.
The creme de la creme of cots!
A luxury product of course but just SO beautiful and SO different to anything else on the market right now. I love that it becomes a stool afterwards.I think this would stay in families for years as a treasured heirloom. Love!
Simply stunning and love the fact it becomes a keepsake for years to come.
