WHO: DockATot - Play Tent

WHAT: A beautifully crafted tepee/play tent made from 100% canvas cotton, solid rattan, and leather, featuring the classic Arts and Crafts print designs of William Morris

WHY: These spacious tepees had all our judges in raptures who loved the sheer opulence of a play tent made from the highest quality fabrics and finishes with details that would delight children and give them a luxurious haven to retreat into. Tassels, bobble trims, an interior pocket for stowing toys and a sweet little window were just a few of the added extras that our judges were excited by. The extra floor cushions, which can be purchased separately made for an incredibly sumptuous and comfortable set up that kids and adults could easily spend the night in! Our panel felt that these tents, made from a selection of on trend, classic Morris & Co. fabrics would enhance most interior spaces, making these tents a long term investment that you’ll never tire of looking at.

These stunning tents were one of the big attractions on judging day. The incredibly high quality finish, and beautiful prints as well as the more practical aspect of easy assembly and storage, earned them a strong Gold in this category.

WHO: Tender Leaf Toys

WHAT: A wooden weather station that teaches children about weather, the changing seasons and even 8 phases of the moon.

WHY: This nostalgic looking interactive weather station really struck a chord with our judges who loved this charming way of introducing children to such an essential topic and encouraging them to engage with their environment and take notice of the world around them. The panel really liked the fact that this could be wall-hung, helping to make it part of a daily discussion and not just a toy that ends up buried in a toy box. The company’s impeccable eco-credentials and their commitment to the regeneration of people, communities and the rainforest is hugely impressive.

I love how this toy gives back while also educating. A wonderful toy I would be happy for my daughter to have.

WHO: Mud Kitchens

WHAT: The original outdoor, hand painted play kitchens made with quality exterior timber.

WHY: With the growing prevalence of screen time and the pressures of social media placed on children these days, the panel agreed that a mud kitchen was a great way to entice children outdoors, use their imaginations and immerse themselves in nature. Our judges felt this was a high quality finish product that would appeal to all children and loved the fact that it is made sustainably and built to last so that it can be handed down when outgrown. playhouse and swing. Every child should get to make a mud pie.

This mud kitchen is a classic must-have toy that your child will enjoy for many years to come. I love the colours and the different utensils, this is such a brilliant toy for any child.

As a first on the market, they are definitely innovators in creative play for children. What I would have done to have made “mud pies” in a kitchen like this when I was a young child.
