WHO: Of Unusual Kind
WHAT: My Paper Doll Colouring Activity
WHY: This fresh take on the classic paper doll really, really excited our judges who loved these bold coloured booklets containing Of Unusual Kind’s beautifully drawn dolls, ready to be coloured in, cut out and assembled. Each doll comes with a wardrobe of chic, hand-illustrated clothing and accessories, giving endless possibilities for creativity and fun and the mini metal paper fasteners included, enable children to give their dolls fully moving joints. The panel loved the charming linear drawings packed with personality and exquisite details and really appreciated the diversity of the characters. A beautiful gift that will encourage creativity and unleash imaginations.
One of our favorite brands for arts and crafts. Always creative and with an eye for detail.
I’ve just made a note of this to buy for my daughter’s birthday. A lovely modern take on a classic activity.
Love these - so much cooler for my daughters, who I know will really engage with these.
I loved fashion and paper dolls as a kid so it’s lovely to see the tradition revamped for little 21st century creatives.

WHO: LoLA – Lots of Lovely Art
WHAT: Subscription art boxes inspired by real artists and full of fun activities and art materials
WHY: We always ask our judges to give us a wish list of their favourite products from the awards and LoLA was one of the most mentioned brands by far this year! These inspiring boxes of activities and art equipment themed around a particular artist, are perfect for giving kids everything they need to draw and create independently. Each project begins with an introduction on the art theme and looks at work from related artists, making this a really enriching and educational experience for kids too. Our judges felt all kids with any artistic inclination would love to receive these boxes either as a one off gift or as a monthly subscription to look forward to.
What child wouldn’t want to delve into one of these amazing boxes. As an art lover I absolutely love this concept, a hands on way to create and learn.
We have tried these out at home and they really are packed full of ideas!
Very colourful and tonnes of fun. An established idea that's been modernised for today's kids. And parents!
We’ve done a few of these kits and I love everything about them.

WHO: The Curious Bear
WHAT: Let’s Grow craft collection
WHY: These beautifully presented, gender-neutral, eco-friendly, educational kits really hit the sweet spot with our panel, which is rather apt since their mascot bear is so fond of honey! Each kit includes carefully selected seeds to plant and watch come to life, as well as fun activities for kids to enjoy while they’re waiting for those seeds to sprout. The JDA judges loved the central premise, to encourage children to develop, find quiet time and learn through creative, nature-based play and agreed that post pandemic, children and families need to connect with nature more than ever. The brand’s respect for nature and the environment extends from the products to the packaging and the panel were delighted to learn that even the bubble wrap is biodegradable.
This is everything!!! Beautiful design, creative idea.
Really sweet kits. These would be an excellent gift.
Absolutely beautiful!!
Beautiful natural packaging and design. What a delightful product. Having discovered gardening as a family over the past year, this is such an exciting product.
