WHO: THE HUGG BEDSIDE CRIB

WHAT: The beautiful Hugg bedside crib was created with simplicity, sustainability and style in mind by its founder, Lucia Nash. Taking two years to design, this sleek mid-century modern looking piece is made from organic materials and evolves from a crib into a stylish table and bench meaning it lasts for many years beyond the nursery.

WHY: With unanimous top marks across the board for outstanding design, attention to detail, and innovation our judges were raving about the Hugg Bedside crib. Chloe Thurston from Uberkid simply remarked "Actually stunning!!!" which was a sentiment also bestowed by Gabriella Sprang from Scandimini and Zoe de Pass from Dress like a Mum who as an advocate for sustainability loved the longevity of the design. Gemma from The Muthahood sealed the deal with 'I adore that this item becomes a piece of furniture afterwards. I think that’s completely inspired! It looks beautifully crafted." And we at Junior couldn't agree more.

WHO: PURFLO KEEP ME CLOSE BREATHABLE BEDSIDE CRIB

WHAT: The Purflo Bedside Crib is the only bedside crib to include a fully air permeable mattress meaning you can keep your little one close and safe when sleeping side-by-side. The through design sees a drop-side rail connection which attaches easily to the bed (and has 6 height adjusters for the perfect size), an incline option raises one end (to ease congestion if baby has reflux or a cold) and the dual-use means it can also be used as a stand-alone crib (with mesh sides for easy viewing).

WHY: An innovative design the Keep Me Close crib was created by two new parents who were concerned about news reports linking flame-retardant chemicals in foam baby mattresses with SIDS sudden infant death syndrome and sought expert help and guidance from Professor Peter Fleming CBE, Professor of Infant Health and Development Physiology at Bristol University and world leader in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome to create the crib we see today. The overall judges view was it was simple, affordable and as Holly Anna Scarsella from Pampelone commented "Really functional and feels very safe."

WHO: KUB LUNA COT

WHAT: The Kub Luna baby cot is a stylish rounded cot with adjustable bed base with three different positions to suit newborns onwards and comes in white or green offering a contemporary stylish design that coordinates with any nursery style.

WHY: The shape was a hit with all the judges as was the practical three height position bed base which allows new parents to easily reach into the cot when tending to the baby (and then can be lowered to the second and lowest position as the little one grows, ensuring that the child cannot get out of the cot.) Our judge Holly Anna Scarsella from Pampelone (who has a young baby) said it was a "Great price point. Simple in design but functional too."

WHO: SHNUGGLE DREAMI CLEVER BABY SLEEPER

WHAT: Dreami by Shnuggle is a clever baby sleeper with a ventilated base and super soft breathable 3D mesh fabric. Designed to promote airflow into baby’s sleeping space it comes with a stand to offer both an upright fixed position for night-time slumber or a low level rocker for daytime naps and soothing.

WHY: We liked the fact that this crib offers more options for new parents as most co-sleeping cribs need to be fixed to the parent's bed. Being light and portable and featuring its unique curved stand which has 2 functions this is a great first sleeping crib for babies. The judges loved the modern design and the new slate grey colour way.
