WINNER OF BEST CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE DESIGN: GOLD

WHO: We Might Be Tiny
WHAT: We Might Be Tiny Stickie Bowls
WHY: These super cute teddy bear shaped bowls really caused a stir with our judges, which is rather appropriate because their deep flexible sides are brilliant for encouraging good spoon-work and stopping spills! Our judges felt that these bowls were the perfect mix of function and form and were super impressed with the suction power of the base, the non-toxic easy to clean, easy to scoop from silicone and crucially the see-through lid that allows you to store any left overs in the bowl or pack food for on-the-go.

I would like to eat out of these – let alone the kids! We Might Be Tiny continues to impress me year after year - I alway look forward to seeing their entries.

WINNER OF BEST CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE DESIGN: JOINT SILVER

WHO: Bobo&boo
WHAT: Bobo&boo Eco Bamboo Divided Plate
WHY: These chic (yes, we say chic!) and minimal bento inspired trays made a great impression on our panel who loved the bright colour palette, the eco-friendly, non-toxic and resilient bamboo based material, not to mention the multiple compartments for serving up separate foods that do not touch each other. At all. For parents of very particular children who are much happier eating their meals, ingredient by ingredient, these are a great idea and we particularly like the cup shaped holder making this a great no spill transportable tray.

I love the design of this. I make ‘treat trays’ for my kids using cupcake trays and they always get so excited about them - a great way to encourage them to try new things. With these, every meal would feel like a treat tray!

As the mother of a compartment eating fan this is brilliant! Great colours and love that inbuilt cup holder.

WHY: Our judges poured praise on this cool looking, minimal, suction plate. They loved the use of seamless anti-allergenic and bacteria resistant silicone, the simple, easy to clean compartment design and the excellent suction power. For any parent who knows the frustration of mopping up a plateful of food that has joyfully, or not so joyfully been tipped on the floor, this suction plate will curtail the most enthusiastic plate chucker!

A fantastic well thought out weaning plate with great suction power.

WINNER OF BEST CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE DESIGN: BRONZE

WHO: Babi
WHAT: Babi Silicone Dog Suction Plate
WHY: Anything that makes mealtimes more fun is definitely a plus in our book and this long eared pup plate really did make everyone smile. Our judges loved the clever ear dividers and cute doggy features and thought the practical details such as a strong suction base and non-toxic, BPA free, Phthalates & Paraben free silicone were just pawfect.

Such a cute plate! Kids will love eating off this.
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
I’m about to start weaning so this is all very interesting and helpful for me. Adding this to my list! I think all my children would love this. It looks like our cockapoo!
