Junior Design Awards 2017 for Best Children’s Sleepwear Collection (Child)
We don’t know about you but if we’re not wearing the right sleepwear we find it SO hard to drift off. And if we have trouble getting to sleep in PJ’s that pinch or nighties that wrinkle, we know that fidgety, restless children will feel exactly the same or worse.
Fortunately there is loads of great kids sleepwear on the market designed with comfort and sweet dreams in mind…and we’ve judged the best of the bunch.
THE PLATINUM AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S SLEEPWEAR (CHILD) IS… THE BRIGHT COMPANY
Made from organic cotton and ethically produced, The Bright Company’s super comfy PJ’s are as soft on the skin as they are easy on the eye.
The long months and late nights spent perfecting the cut and finish of this nightwear were well worth it, as these great quality pyjamas really do fit like a glove, have just the right give and don’t ride up exposing cold tummies or legs in the night.
Our judges loved the graphic, gender neutral prints and contrasting cuffs, the company’s ethical stance and most of all the fact that all the designs come in an adult sizes too.
THE GOLD AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S SLEEPWEAR (CHILD) IS… BEAU & ROOSTER
Beau & Rooster was launched in 2016 by three dads who wanted to design super comfy, ethically produced nightwear that their kids would never want to take off.
Made from organic pima cotton, their pyjamas and nightdresses feature fun and bold prints that appeal to both parents and children.
Our judges all commented on their great colour choices and were really impressed by the generous amount of fabric used. The nighties are satisfyingly long and the pyjamas feature super long, ribbed cuffs at the wrists and ankles that can be unfolded as your child grows making these PJ’s a purchase that can last for years.
THE SILVER AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S SLEEPWEAR (CHILD) IS… LALA & BEA
How fab are these design your own PJ’s by Lala & Bea? The perfect gift for crafty kids (not the kind who try to avoid bedtime!) who want to add a personal touch to their slumber suits or a great idea for a sleep-over party.
These pyjamas come in a choice of pale grey or white and each set includes neon Dylon pens, an inspiration sheet and a cotton tote bag which can also be personalized.
Made in the UK from 100% Super Soft Organic Cotton Jersey they are great quality and our judges loved the fact that they encourage so much creativity and fun.
THE BRONZE AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S SLEEPWEAR (CHILD) IS… SUPERLOVE MERINO
Ditch any notion of tucking your kids up in the merino wool sweaters you buy on the high street, this superfine, ultra ethical, Merino is soft and luxurious against the skin and keeps kids at an optimum temperature whatever the weather.
We were fascinated to hear that there are studies showing that Merino not only has benefits for eczema but also enhances the overall quality and quantity of a child’s sleep.
We are big fans of Supermerino’s pared back leggings and tops which can be layered with their super cute Merino & Organic Cotton Toddle Bags.
