WHAT: A playful selection of engaging & enduring crafty activities, keepsake tins, colouring cards & invitations for goody bags and party gifts, with an emphasis on sustainability.
WHY: No more landfill! Most parents have had that sinking, guilty feeling that comes when its time to throw away the plastic detritus that accumulates underfoot when party bags have passed their entertainment sell by date. Our judges loved this selection of activity led crafts and kits, which not only cut the plastic out of parties but give kids something meaningful and engaging to play with and items that become keepsakes rather than rubbish. The strong emphasis on sustainable & recyclable materials made our panel jump with glee and the personalisation option was also much appreciated.

WHY: With a focus on paper play and creativity, these kits really delighted our judges, who loved the cool graphic feel of the party bags and their contents. The panel felt that this was definitely a great option for stylish parents who want to send their children’s party guests home beaming without impacting on the environment.

WHAT: A children's entertainment company and lifestyle brand providing on-line and in-person birthday parties as well as mindfulness and wellbeing sessions, story books, sketch shows, and more. For children ages 1-11
WHY: At a time when reasons to celebrate have become all the more meaningful and precious, Captain Fantastic and his talented Wonder Crew are more valuable than ever - making parties special and creating wonderful memories for children. Many of the judges had direct experience of Captain Fantastic parties both virtual and IRL and agreed that their events were always well organised, high quality and above all very, very funny. From reading their passionate literature it was also clear to the panel that entertaining children and looking after their wellbeing was at the core of the Captain Fantastic business.

I love Captain Fantastic parties - the entertainers are top class. I have full admiration for how they turned their business model on its head during Covid-19. Tommy and his team led the way when it came to online/zoom parties, entertainment and a full programme session for children during lockdown. Captain Fantastic is a modern hero!

Imaginative, themed events with an extra touch of magic are their speciality and their attention to detail is fabulous. At a time when we definitely need more magic and wonder, our judges felt that this company was really striving to be the very best in their field. The panel also loved the new pop-up party kit element of the business, offering gorgeous garlands, fun and stylish homewares and craft kits.

WHAT: A range of Eco-friendly and sustainable, personalised children's baking mix and gourmet pancake mix activity party bags.
WHY: Our judges loved the idea of giving children a wonderful baking and making activity to take home from a party rather than a bag full of plastic tat and high sugar treats. The commitment to sustainability in terms of packaging really impressed our judges who noted that the party boxes are made from made from recycled board, the bags containing the baking mix are biodegradable and the pancake party bag pouches are compostable. Great work!
