Junior Design Awards 2017 for Best Children’s Fashion Brand
This category celebrates the creme de la creme of established kids fashion brands who lead the way in quality and design.
THE GOLD AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S FASHION BRAND IS… JIGSAW JUNIOR
Produced by an in-house team at Jigsaw’s head office in Kew, the Jigsaw Junior range has all the attention to detail and charm you’d expect from a much smaller boutique scale collection. With four ranges produced every year there is always something new to coo over in Jigsaw stores or their concessions in House of Fraser and John Lewis. With clothes that appeal to girls who want to dress like girls and a strong emphasis on quality and cut, this is fashion that will last and last in terms of style and wear.
THE SILVER AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S FASHION BRAND IS… M&S AND MARIE CHANTAL
This designer meets high street collaboration far exceeded our expectations in terms of the breadth of the collection as well as the incredible attention to detail and beautiful quality. Of course we know that Marks & Spencer always produce beautifully made kids clothes and that Princess Marie Chantal’s label is never short of breathtaking but it’s not often that collaborations like this get it SO right. We loved the smocked dress, swing coat and shorts set in particular and extra points were awarded for the companies’ balanced approach to creating something special for both girls and boys. In a world where girls fashion so often monopolises it was refreshing to see that the boy’s collection was just as strong and covetable as the girls’.
THE BRONZE AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN’S FASHION BRAND IS… BLADE & ROSE SCOTTIE DOG COLLECTION
We’ve got a soft spot for Scottie dogs, bobble hats and baby’s bottoms so this gorgeous unisex collection from British brand Blade & Rose really leapt out at us. Featuring their super cute, iconic bum motif leggings and matching socks, hat and wellies this is one of the nattiest top to toe outfits we have ever seen. We’d like the hat in grown-up size please and we’ll have the boots too while we’re on the subject…
