WINNER OF BEST CHILDREN’S ECO FASHION COLLECTION: GOLD

WHO: Napaani
WHAT: Organic, Sustainable fashion brand
WHY: This beautiful collection of soft, soft cotton pieces featuring beautiful smocking, button and loop fastenings and pared back silhouettes in soothing muted shades had a really gentle feel that echoed its footprint on this earth. Our judges loved the soft organic textured cotton fabric and the overall feeling of blissful simplicity that combine to create some extremely special clothes. The brand takes their approach to ethical and sustainable production very seriously, and all their clothes are made from 100% organic cotton with natural dyes – the Cristina dress in particular was ethically made in the Napaani workshop in Guatemala by women at risk of exclusion.

WINNER OF BEST CHILDREN’S ECO FASHION COLLECTION: SILVER

WHO: Muddy Puddles
WHAT: Eco-conscious, technical outerwear clothing for kids
WHY: Our judges were excited to hear that Muddy Puddles started their sustainability journey more than 5 years ago with the launch of their EcoSplash Jackets and Puddlesuits, that use a recycled polyester fabric for the waterproof outer. Now all of the fabric in their waterproof outerwear (outer, lining and padding) in the AW21 collection is made from 100% recycled fabrics and packaged in biodegradable polybags and by 2025 Muddy Puddles’ goal is to use recycled materials for their base layers, accessories and footwear too. We should also mention that their new UV swimwear collection is also made from 100% recycled fibres. Bravo!

This commitment to sustainability and the brand’s brilliantly designed, functional clothing that guarantee cosy, stylish kids scored very highly with our panel, who all admired the technical quality of these bright, uplifting clothes that enable kids to get out into nature come rain or shine.

A brand I’m familiar with and trust for outdoor wear. I was impressed with the latest collection.
