WHO: Bohemia’s Closet

WHAT: Bohemia’s Closet Footwear Collection
WHY: These super soft premium leather shoes had our judges cooing like a flock of broody doves! The selection of on-trend, contemporary styles and classic t-bars and booties all perfectly formed and beautifully made, appealed to every taste and extra details such as soft soles, supple leather, ribbon ties, and scalloped edging pushed these shoes up the leaderboard into first position. Congratulations on a fabulous collection Bohemia’s Closet.

Well done for balancing minimal with elegance. Particularly love the ballet-style shoes with chunky cross straps.

WHO: Poco Nido

WHAT: Poco Nido Mini Shoes
WHY: These super cute, printed starter shoes really stood out in the line up and our judges praised them for their originality and sense of fun. Not only are these shoes gorgeous to look at, but they’re also incredibly soft and flexible, making them extremely foot friendly as well as being easy to stow in your handbag pocket. Features such as a wide toe box for natural toe splay and free joint movement, a slim flexible outsole, giving as close a connection to the ground as possible with no arch support to ensure that immature foot muscles aren’t weakened, were all noted and applauded.

A brilliant price point and fun brand.
Charlotte Kewley, Baby and Children’s Stylist

WHO: mia and mika

WHAT: mia and mika premium soft soled vegetable tanned baby shoes
WHY: Our judges loved these fresh looking moccasins that they felt really elevated baby shoes from cutesy to cool. The super soft vegetable tanned leather in delicious contrast colours and hand painted monochrome designs really stood out, and our panel felt that these designs would appeal to parents who wanted to dress their children with a pared back, contemporary feel. As well as being stylish, these shoes felt very well made and our panel appreciated the deep, gently elasticated ankle cuffs that help keep them on children’s feet.

Gorgeous colour combinations and the softest feeling leather and soles.
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior
There’s not much cuter than these baby moccasins!
Charlotte Kewley, Children’s Stylist and founder of @thelittlestylist
It’s amazing how little details like a punchy bright fringe or a painterly pattern bring a simple, soft soled moccasin to life. So fashionable.
